I just bought a new computer and I've been getting a lot of BSoD's from alt-tabbing out of games (also alt tabbing out of full screen Windows Media Center) on Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit.

The STOP error is 3b SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION relating to win32k.sys.

My specs are:

AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE
Gigabyte GA 870A-UD3
4GB Kingston DDR3 RAM 1333MHz
Sapphire Radeon HD5850 1GB
PCIe HDTV Tuner Card - DNTV Live! Dual Hybrid PCIe S2

Running on ATI Catalyst 10.7 (which I've heard can cause BSODs but I haven't experimented with other driver versions yet)

I've attached the relevant minidump files. I would appreciate any assistance anyone could provide.

Hi,

Can you tell me what third party antivirus or firewall are you using?

Stop code 3B: system service exception with win32k.sys was blamed make me think of that.

Also, It sounds to me that graphic Catalyst Control Center is causing this. Can you please uninstall Catalyst Control Center, a service that you installed with ATI driver to see if problem goes away.

Not currently using any third party antivirus or firewall software.

Just uninstalled Catalyst Control Center and I'll keep you posted to see if this fixes the issue.

EDIT: Seems to be fine at the moment (alt-tabbed in and out about 20 times to see, heaps scientific I know :P). I'll post in a day or so to update further unless I get another BSOD in the meantime. Thanks for the quick response.
