hi guys,

a few weeks ago I started playing the BF3 beta. all went well for a couple of days, and then something happened. i have no idea what, but all of the sudden i started getting BSOD, freezing up my entire pc, with some weird noice. This happened every time, after about 5-10 minutes playing. Now BF3 came out yesterday and i got it right away, thinking the BSOD's were just something from the Beta. Now, after playing for about 10 minutes, again, BSOD. I had already completed the Singleplayer, with no problems at all. I started googling and stuff. Found out there are a host of people with problems. I read some posts, trying different solutions stated there. Downloaded just about every driver with Driver Scanner i could find for my system, trying different settings for BF3, but still no joy. Updated my BIOS and all. I've also scanned my RAM for errors twice now, with no problems showing up.
I'm not the best with windows errors, but i do know a little bit about them. Still, getting quite desperate now, so I decided to post my own thread here, hoping for some help.

System specs:
Windows 7 Ultimate x64 6.1.7601 1.0
i7 950 @3.07GHz
Asus x58 Sabretooth
4 Gb Kingston RAM
Club3D ATI 6950 2Gb with newest drivers and newest Catalyst suite
Dell 19" generic monitor on 1440-900

I've also attached the 2 files Windows came up with as possible leads for the problem. English is not my primary language, so sorry for any faults on my part. Hope that's everything you need,
Thanks in advance

Your .dmp file shows a stop error of 0x124 which is a general hardware error .

A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint.

Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress.

You can read more on this error and what to try here... http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lockup-debug-how/35349-stop-0x124-what-means-what-try.html

thanks for the reply zigzag,

I've tried a couple of things from the link you gave. including the scans
of my hdd and RAM. though none came up with errors, my game is fixed now.
I've been able to play for 4 hours straight without any BSOD.
I don't know if the scans and updates caused the fix, or the 2nd patch for
BF3, but it's fixed now any ways. consider this thread solved.

Thanks again,
