Re-purposed this system off an old work computer; all new components, just continues to blue screen on me. 95% of the time is when I am away from my computer. The error codes are sporadic and continually change, although I've noticed they're repeating over time.

Please make sure to update the BIOS to newest version.

Please remove Symantec and replace it with MSE while troubleshooting.

MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.

I'll go ahead and ensure my BIOS is updated; on the symantec / mse -- I cannot disable the symantec as it's a client-host config (no admin rights) & required for the co's domain connectivity ... -- given the circumstances, is there a work around? Given the snippet you left, my impression is not -- but you've got more exp in this area then I.

You could try a reinstallation of Symantec, but there is no garantee a reinstallation helps.

I didn't see the memtest portion of your comment; I've also already done that -- seemed to be the go to for the basic diagnostic steps. I am going to update the bios and move from there ... I'll post back and let you know! Thanks for the help!

What memory test did you run and what was the result?

Memtest86; I think it did 6-10 passes without failure, it's been over a month so I don't quite recall the # of passes -- I'll run the test over the weekend and see what happens.

Most of the time the pc crashes I am not around. There was one instance where it crashed, and I was there -- it seemed to be a ram based failure as I was utilizing a very high %; rather then a falty stick, it seemed as though it simply didn't have the appropriate voltage. I bumped it from 1.5 to 1.7. Shortly after that I believe I had a bios related crash, and I had to reset defaults. Since then, intermitent failures and 99% of the time it's when the comp is idle with 4-8 chrome tabs open.

I won't have a chance to update the bios until this afternoon -- I am hoping updating that will cure these problems. I've been going after the ram/display adapter drivers and just trying to cause the system to crash while I am actually using it.
