BSOD on New PC

The computer crashes randomly every few hours or so, not brought on by anything noticible. I am running windows 7 with 2GB RAM, i wondered whether that might have something to do with it.

All of the DMP point to same stop code, therefore I don't think it is gonna be serious problem.

Usual causes: Memory corruption, Hardware (memory in particular), Installing a faulty or mismatched hardware (especially memory) or a failure after installing it, 3rd party firewall, Device drivers, SCSI/network/BIOS updates needed, Improperly seated cards, Incompatible storage devices, Overclocking, Virus scanner, Backup tool, Bad motherboard, Missing Service Pack

There are 3 things I highlighted from the quote above that potentially cause the crashes.
In looking through your drivers, I see that you have AVG anti virus installed. AVG is known to cause BSOD, on some systems. I suggest that you uninstall it while trouble shooting using the uninstall tool > Info > Tool (32bit) - Tool (64 bit). If you have AVG Identity Protection installed, uninstall it also >Info > Tool[FONT=&quot]. I recommend that you install MSE and make sure Windows Firewall is turned on.

G'day Tuan,

I've gotten rid of AVG and got MSE, updated the driver, run the scan.

Still crashing, i'm just wondering if there could be a list of other things involved too.
- I am using an older western digital HD, possibly that could be a reason
- Also I am using Zone Alarm, maybe that could be a reason too?

I am not overclocking anything

Thanks for reminding me about Zone Alarm, yes, please get rid of it for me right away. As I mentioned above, third party firewalls are notorious for causing BSODs (stop code 7F). I should of missed that first time, use this tool to remove it:

You meant you are using external Western HD? As long as the driver is not too old (date 2009 to now is fine), and the HDD is compatible with window 7, you are fine

The driver is from 2006, it's SATA though. I tried to find an update driver for it but i failed.

New HD? It might not be compatible with 7

Will see if removing Zone Alarm will resolve the problem. Let us know if anything occur
