BSOD on restarting W7 64 bit and surfing in IE

Ok, I will. I've upgraded BIOS as I thought it would be better for motherboard working, it's nothing suspicious. I will scan the notebook but I've doubt that it will show any viruses.

Ok Arc, but you don't need to put more effort then this. Everything points that the problem is with hardware, but I'll wait for few days then return it back.

From your very first post:
I've bought notebook HP Probook 4540s with Linux in it
Have you tried using your notebook with the original factory specs and operating system? If it's a hardware issue I would think you'll still have problems. And that might help show exactly what is failing. But if the notebook works OK it may not be a hardware issue afterall.

It didn't upload Linux, it always failed and some numbers came out and stayed there, I forgot what cause I`ve installed linux only one time long ago but definitly it didnt't start linux os. That was the first thing what woried me and maybe I should stick with it that they return me money or other notebook. Problem is that I wanted to work it out instead what I needed to do, return it back cause Linux didn't upload.

You should ask for a warranty replacement, at least.

I've installed Windows XP then when I saw that it is showing problems with working I tried with Windows 7. Process in booth ways was the same, putting install CD and booting from it, then from installation deleting the partition and making new one.

Just to inform you all guys, I've send it again to service and they said that it may be the drivers cause they tested it all for 5 days and everything went ok. So I told them to leave it with test version of Windows to try it for myself. Thanks again.

Damn! As soon as I thought that everything is all right again BSOD. Notebook came with all installed from service to tryout it and then I've installed MS Essentials and after that I've put IE 11 to download and while it was downloading BSOD appeared, caused by address ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, 0x0000000a...
Then I called service and they said that they tested it for 5 days and they didn't found anything wrong with hardware.
I'm desperate, what to do?

and another one hit me while I was opening page for drivers for Intel HM76 Express chipset, weird. What goes through my mind is to find someone with Windows 8 and try to install it to see what will happen...
And the last step will be crash test from second floor to the concrete :-)

If I'm understanding things, all was OK until you installed "MS Essentials" (I'm assuming that's Microsoft Security Essentials) and downloaded IE11. Then you got another BSOD while getting drivers for Intel HM76 Express chipset.

If you uninstall everything and revert back to the test configuration, is everything working again? If yes, you could try installing just MSE and run the computer for a few days. If no BSODs, then try installing IE11 to see if it causes any problems. Sounds like one or the other might be causing the issues. If you can figure out which one it is, don't install it. :)

Unless you're having specific driver issues, this is one of those things where "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Ok, after I've installed Microsoft essentials it offered me to install IE 11. Now I've tried to install Driver genious and from it I saw few thing that weren't up to date and also few thing that aren't installed but no complaints in device manager. So I've installed everything step by step with restarting and after I've installed Intel Rapid storage technology driver it showed me that Hitachi HTS SCSI disk device is installed properly. So maybe that is the problem cause BSOD appeared?

Will show the answers and if it won't work I will buy Windows 8, found two on net, sealed for 90$.

P.S. maybe my error was downloading drivers from official HP page instead from every device production page because now I see that some are more up to date then HP's are. :zip:

But thanks for time of all of you.
