Solved BSOD on shutting down

Hello,

I have recently made a clean install of windows 7 64 bits with all most up to date drivers, and I now get a strange BSOD on shutting down:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

When I shut down the computer, everything seems normal except that the screen turns on again with this BSOD and I have to use the power button in order to turn the computer completely off.

Any idea?

At first I thought it was because of the JMICRON driver so I disabled the controler within the bios.

It could be related to ESET ?

The zip you uploaded does not contain any crash dump.

Go to Option Two, Point 2. Download the .reg file and merge it in registry by double clicking it.

Now wait for another BSOD. When it occurred, search the .dmp files manually in the default path: C:\Windows\Minidump or %SystemRoot%\Minidump. See if the crash dump is recorded or not (hopefully it will be recorded).Post it following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions.

Dont run any disc cleanup program before you upload another zip.

Unfortunately no minidump is created.

This blue screen appears only after shutting down the computer. In fact the computer turns off normaly, the screen goes to sleep mode, then the hard drives stop. But fan stays on and the screen turns on again with this message.

At this point, if I press the shut down button the computer will stop.

If I press the restart button, then something srange happens: I see the Asus picture (the one from the startup) but for a very long time and all the disks are kind of starting (making noise) ONE BY ONE (I have 6 of them) which takes 30 seconds and then the computer will turn on.

This feature is already off. I also turned off the 'allow wake timers' but still the same

Hello, I finally found what the problem was.

Intel RST RAID Driver version 12.​8.​0.​1016 , which is the latest.

By installing an older version, the problem is solved.

Very good!

Intel RST is always problematic. I would suggest you to use the system native msahci.sys, if the issue comes back at any point of time.
