BSOD on sleep. Latest dump attached.

Hi,

I have an Acer Ferrari One netbook running Win7 Home Premium as factory installed.
Recently it's started crashing on sleep and BSODs before the computer manages to go into sleep mode.

The error message is a DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE with error code 9F. The driver listed as causing the problem is 'ntoskrnl.exe' and I've no idea how to solve this!

I've updated all my drivers to the latest versions using Device Manager but other than that I can't find any more solutions online.

If anyone can help that'd be great. I've attached my latest minidump if this helps.
Thanks in advance.
Greg

Interesting, when I ran the Windows Debugger, it pointed to athrx.sys as the cause. This may or may not be the cause.

The usual cause of a 9F stop error is a device driver. Here is your dmp file:

I found the following older drivers on your system. These need to be updated as Win 7 does not like older drivers.
amdxata.sys Tue May 19 13:56:59 2009 (4A12F2EB)
AtiPcie.sys Tue May 05 11:00:22 2009 (4A005486)
DKbFltr.sys Wed Mar 25 23:15:42 2009 (49CAF35E)
SynTP.sys Thu Jun 18 22:33:58 2009 (4A3AF916)
Let's begin by updating these drivers. I recommend thast you start by going to the Acer site and see if there are updates for these drivers on the Acer site. Do you need help with this?

Thanks for your help.
I've had a play round with the drivers for the wireless card and have sorted the problem.
It turns out a program called Connectify had been causing the issue. It had, unknown to me, updated itself just before the problems had started and had obviously been stopping the wireless card from going into sleep.
I have no idea why I wasn't pointed athrx.sys initially, would have saved so much stressing!
Thanks again!

Great, I'm glad to know the problem is sorted. What program are you using to open the dmp files? We use Windows Debugger

BlueScreenViewer is good and it is being developed; but we find WinDbg is more accurate.
