BSOD on sleep

Hi,
I hate vista because i used to always get crashes whenever i put my laptop to sleep.
So i got the Windows 7 RC and it was awesome. It fixed everything. So i bought it a few days ago and it was running fine till today. THE F****** BSOD IS BACK.
So i used bluescreenview and looked at the dmp's. Although i have 0 knowledge in using it. Pretty much it shows some files and then shows ntoskrnl.exe in red. (i shall attach the dmp if it helps).

(I haven't actually seen the bsod as i just press sleep and leave, next morning i see the comp off and it boots telling me it fails at life)

Please help me before i go crazy and kill somebody.

Hi and welcome

this one was caused by your wifi driver (netw5v64.sys) which makes sense since whenever you wake or sleep it turns the wifi on and off.

I would download a fresh copy and install it
also
run a system file check
type cdm in search>right click and run as admin>sfc /scannow

let us know the results

Thankyou for your fast and informative reply zigzag3143,
I'm redownloading a rather large 380mb wifi driver from msi which is newer than my current one so should hopefully help (Although im wondering why its 370mb larger than the generic intel ones). Also i'm running the system file check atm. Will post results soon.

Results of file check: Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
Results of installing the default intel wifilink 5100 drivers (msi ones failed) didnt help although it did update from v12 to 13.
Just had another bsod so it still aint working.

Any other advice?

Still cites the wifi driver. Lot's of possibilities.

Test your router by going to a public wifi hotspot and see if you can make the system crash.
Test your system by hooking up with a wire to your router (turning the wifi off) and see if you can make the system crash

Please upload this info for us (I suspect an Internet aware application - such as a Security Center or Internet Security application):

Also, please remove these older drivers that were loaded at the time of the crash. Don't use Windows Update or the Update drivers function of Device Manager.

I got the nfo and have attached it.
I'm going to reinstall the newer wifi driver to see of that helps as i realised the driver wasn't slowing my internet down, i just happed to get shaped at that exact time.
I also uninstalled Eset smart security and reinstalled nod32.

As for those drivers i cant seem to find any of them on the internet. And i'm not sure how i'm meant to uninstall it. Just delete the file from C:\Windows\System32\drivers? As i dont need the sony ericsson one anymore. As for the other three im not sure.

The drivers are out there. For the Adobe one - uninstall all Adobe stuff from your system. Then install what you need from the Adobe website as the need occurs.

For the Sony Ericsson, you have these 2 entries in your Start menu:

Start Menu\Programs\Sony Ericsson Public:Start Menu\Programs\Sony Ericsson Public
Start Menu\Programs\Sony Ericsson\Gordon's Gate Public:Start Menu\Programs\Sony Ericsson\Gordon's Gate Public

There will either be an uninstall entry there - or in the Control Panel...Programs...Uninstall a program

If you don't use your dialup modem, uninstall the drivers from Device Manager, then shut the system down and remove the dialup modem card.

For the PxHelp20.sys file, the easiest thing is to disable it using this free utility: Autoruns for Windows (it'll be in the driver tab)
Once it's disabled and you've rebooted - you may notice a problem with one of your CD/DVD apps. If so, that's probably the one that uses the PxHelp20.sys file (and should be uninstalled)

Wow, thanks for the quick reply usasma,
I uninstalled gordons gate and all other sony ericsson stuff a while ago so i dont know why the drivers still there.
Before trying any of your suggestions, i tried putting my laptop to sleep, and it worked, about 10 times without crashing. I'm gonna try a few more times over the next few days to make sure that it is definitely working. But i think im gonna put the blame on eset smart security for now as thats the only thing that ive changed.

Will reply soon with results.

Another thing i did (although i doubt if it did anything) was to untick "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" for my wifi card in device manager.

A minor problem i noticed was that 2/10 times i tried sleeping the comp, when it booted back it didnt reconnect to the internet saying no network connections are available and doesnt seem to recognise the wifi card or something. Easy solution was to disable and enable the adapter in network and sharing center.

And i think i found out how to get rid of seehcri.sys, it was in device manager under usb controllers called "Sony Ericsson seehcri Control Device" Which i then uninstalled.
