BSOD on Toshiba laptop with 8 Gb but not with 4 Gb

Hi everyone,

I have a Toshiba laptop L850-138 with Win 7 Home Premium SP1 64 bits.
Around 6 months ago I replaced the original Samsung memory for a 2x 4Gb Corsair kit with same specs.
No problems until this last month when I'm getting several random BSODs, 99% caused by ntoskrnl.exe.

When I get a BSOD I'm unable to boot again until I take off one RAM module. With 4GB works fine.
But sometimes I put again both modules and runs stable for several days... until I get a BSOD again.
I have changed of place both modules, cleaning contacts, etc.

I have updated BIOS, drivers, programs. I have run SFC, Windows Memory Diagnostic, etc.
I have uninstalled Avira and replaced by MSE. I have scanned with MBAM, SuperAntispyware, anti-rootkits, etc.
I have run memtest86+ (not much passes but no errors found).

The only thing I have not tried yet is reinstalling the system but I would like to find the problem before.

Any idea?

Run this again let it run for at least 9 passes doing only a few passes is not sufficient for detecting errors with ram I have seen it take up to nine passes for it to detect problems most of your dumps point to memory corruption as the problem.

Next please update this driver it seems to be causing problems:

Once that is done please run the system file checker to clear up any file system corruption:

SFC.EXE /SCANNOW
Go to Start and type in "cmd.exe" (without the quotes)
At the top of the search box, right click on the cmd.exe and select "Run as adminstrator"
In the black window that opens, type "SFC.EXE /SCANNOW" (without the quotes) and press Enter.

If it comes back saying anything other than "no integrity violations found" run the command three more times

I have updated iaStorA.sys to a previous version. I had the last but not official.

After running SFC at first time says some files are damaged but can't repair them. Attached is the CBS.log file.

I'm still pending of running memtest86, first with all modules and then one by one.

Update for the last days:

- Memtest86+ reports no errors after 9 passes.
- Same results with Windows Memory Diagnostics.

Everything runs ok until today, with a new BSOD related to ntfs.sys. Crashes when watching a video.
Now I have an unknown device with yellow flag under USB controller

Attached a new SFC log files.

Usual causes: Disk corruption, insufficient physical memory, Device driver, Indexing, Resident antivirus, backup, defrag programs, Disk/Drive failing/failure

- Have you tried chkdsk /r /f?
the latest dump files might point to a hard drive failure.

Windows is a closed source system. Developers of tuneup utilities and registry cleaners do not have the core code of Win 7 and are not working on definitive information, but rather they are going on past knowledge and experience, most of which is not applicable to Win 7.
There is almost no tweaking that can be done to Win 7 to speed it up. The system is designed to diagnose itself and take care of itself which it does remarkably well. Win 7 maintains itself and that includes the registry.

You have Revo Uninstaller, use it.

    If you see NtfsExceptionFilter on the stack then the 2nd and 3rd
    parameters are the exception record and context record. Do a .cxr
    on the 3rd parameter and then kb to obtain a more informative stack
    trace.
