BSOD on Toshiba laptop, error 0x0000009f, DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

Hope someone can help me with the regular BSOD's I'm getting on my Toshiba R830-10C laptop running Windows Home Premium 64bit. Processer is an Intel Core i3 2.1GHz.

I very rarely see the BSOD's as it seems to happen when the laptop enters sleep or hibernation mode. The files associated with the crashes are usually athrx.sys and/or ntoskrnl.exe although I have also seen nwifi.sys and luafv.sys.

I have ran the SF Diagnostic Tools as requested and the results are attached to this post.

A few of your BSOD dumps are network component related - athrx.sys and nwifi.sys . You should get your network driver upgraded. ATHEROS drivers for Microsoft Windows (Atheros?????) .

Are you Overclocking ? If so, get back from any type of overclocks, and do some other few hardware tests.

Atheros driver updated to most recent version.

Are you Overclocking ? If so, get back from any type of overclocks, and do some other few hardware tests.

No overclocking. Memtest running now. Will follow with rest of tests and post results.

Here's the results of my hardware testing.....

Memtest86 ran for 7 passes with no errors.

Prime95 sent the CPU temperatures soaring - it rose to 100C within 2-3 minutes. Test abandoned but no errors detected in the short time it ran.

IntelBurnTest ran 5 times at standard level with no problems or errors. CPU temp rose to close to 100C by the end of the test. At high level CPU was at 100C before 1st time finished so test was abandoned.

Windows Memory Diagnostics ran successfully with no errors.

No sign of a BSOD since updating the network driver but the laptop is known to have gone several days without one in the past.
