BSOD on wake up, probably have seen this before

Hi, my system is less than 2 months old, and has BSOD'd on wake up pretty much every day since I built it.

The test I have run so far;

memtest86; pass

Western digital hard drive diagnostic; pass

System specs:

Amd athlon II x4 630

gigabyte 880gm-ud2h Mobo (latest bios revision)

ati radeon hd 5770 (his cooler)

western digital caviar black 1tb

4gb corsair ddr3 1333

Bfg gs 550 watt psu

windows 7 ultimate 64 bit

The frequency of bsod had diminished slightly after the bios update, if that matters.

Besides posting a dump file have you taken any notes on the error information seen on the BSOD itself. Often that will be all you need to trace the source of the problem to a video card or other device driver.

Most blue screens seen when waking a system out of sleep or hibernation are the result of drivers needing to be refreshed with a full restart if they refuse to load properly at first.

The I just initiated one and it says

That is all.

So you're saying in my particular configuration I cannot use hibernation?

The immediate results on that particular error in the 64bit Windows points to "You receive various Stop error messages in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2 when you try to resume a computer that has a large SATA hard disk" You receive various Stop error messages in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2 when you try to resume a computer that has a large SATA hard disk

MS has a fix for this at the page there. With four 1tb WD drives in here 2 Sata II OSed drives with another pair of 1tb Sata III all Black edition models I have yet to run into this however even when having the sleep after 2hrs. option set. But this seems to a reoccurance for many. Give the hot fix a try and see how it goes after a full restart.
