Hi guys,

Im really stumped I have had tried a lot of things to get rid of this BSOD but nothing is working for me. I recently updated my new pc with some new hardware below:

Corsair Vengeance 12GB (3x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Tri
MSI GeForce GTX 680 Twin Frozr 2048MB x

Usall hardware:
Asus Sabertooth X58
Intel Core i7 950 (No Overclock)

Im getting these BSOD just after start up usally it seems to be on flash videos either while watching youtube or twitchtv in full screen. This also happens while watching videos in VLC, but after this intial BSOD my computer wont BSOD again I can play as much flash as I want after. I can play game BF3 on ultra settings and it doesnt do anything plays perfectly. So I am really stumped at what is causing this problem. I have look around the forums I reinstalled my OS, to see if a clean install helps the problem but didnt. I have reseed the new memory, I have not reseed the gfx though. I have also tried uninsatlling nortons to see if that was the problem but nope, I have also tried reseting my BIOS to defaults to see if that helps but nope. Also all my temps look fine nothing crazy.

I am out of ideas now, Would be great if some one could take a look at my attached BSOD info and save me. Thanks very much for any help you can give!

Remove:

Code:
Start Menu\Programs\Norton

Norton is known to cause BSODs, and is a very heavy real-time protection program.

Install and perform full scans with:
:info: Remember to install the free version of Malwarebytes not the free trail; untick the free trial box during installation. MSE is the most lightweight and compatible with the Windows 7 operating system.

You can also view this thread for a complete free and lightweight security protection combination:
Have just noticed you have MSE and Norton, and this can cause serious problems, such as driver conflict. Use the official Norton uninstaller:
Code:
[COLOR="Red"]BugCheck 1A[/COLOR], {41289, 5ddcb001, 56d6, 10000005ddcb005}

Probably caused by : ntkrnlmp.exe ( nt! ?? ::FNODOBFM::`string'+4a89 )

Code:
Usual causes: Device driver, memory, kernel

Test for any corrupted drivers, by running Driver Verifier for least 24 hours, stop the test if a BSOD occurs before this time frame. Driver Verifier will place stress on the drivers within your system, which will cause corrupted drivers to crash and hopefully be pinpointed.
:info: More Help and Information with Driver Verifier - http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lo...-driver-verifier-identify-issues-drivers.html

Memory:
Run Memtest86+ for least 9-10 passes, and preferably overnight as it can take a while to fully complete.

Test each RAM stick individually, if an error is found then move the same RAM stick into the next DIMM slot and test again, if errors are found for the same RAM stick in every available slot then you have a faulty RAM module. On the other hand, if no errors are found in the next slot or the other slots for the same RAM module, then you have a faulty DIMM slot.

Test each RAM stick and every motherboard DIMM slot available.

How many passes did you run Memtest86+ for?

You have two AV installed norton and MSE thats never good, as above get rid of norton
You also have MSI Afterburner installed this needs to be removed but most importantly you have asus tools installed from 2005 the driver ASACPI.sys is very old and is a known cause of BSODs it does not get on with win 7 advise you remove straight away, also you have intel extreme tuning utility installed remove this also.
When you have removed all of these i would recommend you enter bios and check all settings you cannot OC anything, manually check all settings especially RAM timings and voltages if you are using XMP RAM this used to be a bit of an issue with X58 & XMP i suffered with it myself a couple years ago

Thanks for the replies guys,

Bluerobot -> Ill run a driver verifier over tonight, to get that out of the way. I think memtest ran 2 passes which came up with no errors. Do you reckon its worth running it again and letting go on for longer?

Pauly->I have uninstalled nortorns, MSI Afterburner and intel tuning. How would you reckomend getting rid of the ASACP.sys driver? I cant see any asus tool installed in my unistall control pannel? but i can see the file under C:\Windows\System32\drivers

Cheers for the help

I thought you ran Memtest86+ for 12 hours?????

Please read the Memtest86+ tutorial I referenced, completely, then execute as suggested.

It would have been better to run Driver Verifier for least 24 hours, some people even suggest letting Driver Verifier run for least 36 hours; please post back your results.
