Hey, everyone it's been quite a while of having this issue with my desktop and it's becoming rather troublesome, I've formated twice and reseated my hardware and nothing is clickin for me. Here's a list of System Spec's and the BSOD errors to follow.

If anyone can please post or pm me with a solution I'll pretty much kiss your feet.
So i'd like to thank anyone who replys with a resolution to this issue in advance I would be more then grateful.

Everything for drivers "Should" be up to date as far as I'm aware since my last format was fairly recently. Any questions feel free.

Health Report came clean aswell ^_^.

Okay I feel like doing some of the work for you guys, I opened my dumps in BlueScreen View and 1 and only dump the last one is saying, "atikmdag.sys" is the cause. from my understanding this would be a ATI Driver issue no? I'm having troubles logging into the XFX site to download there drivers. So i'm going to dl and driversweep the newest ATI drivers and update with progress.

It's always better to grab the drivers from AMD directly.

atikmdag.sys is definitely connected to AMD drivers.

The 5970 is very problematic for drivers. (I had one) You might have to try a few different and older sets before you find a 'good one'.

Also, don't forget the CAP profiles. These are particularly important if you are using on 'old' driver. CAP profiles contain' fixes' not found in the drivers. They are sometimes the difference between working and non-working.

Thanks for your reply I been waiting very patiently for one haha, I've never had previous issues with the card it's roughly a year ago it's only a recent dilliema and I do use profiles for some games. Oddly this only happens RARELY in Heroes of newerth or League of Legends, but more common in graphic demanding games like Metro, Deus Ex, Battlefield, Starcraft 2 even. I'll let you guys know what happens after I grab new drivers wish me luck.

Several problems

1-ASACPI.SYS

The pre 2009 version of this driver is a known BSOD cause.

Please visit this link: ASUS teK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download P7P55D LE
ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download P7P55D LE

Scroll down to the Utilities category, then scroll down to the "ATK0110 driver for WindowsXP/Vista/Windows 7 32&64-bit" (it's about the 12th item down).
Download and install it.
Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers to check and make sure that the ASACPI.SYS file is date stamped from 2009 or 2010 (NOT 2005).

2-Old drivers needing updating

Code:
ASACPI.sys 3/27/2005 10:30:36 PM fffff880`045b0000 fffff880`045b8000 0x00008000 0x42476c4c
yk62x64.sys 2/23/2009 11:02:27 AM fffff880`03c00000 fffff880`03c63000 0x00063000 0x49a2ba83
athrx.sys 6/9/2009 2:06:49 PM fffff880`04400000 fffff880`04558000 0x00158000 0x4a2ea4b9
How To Find Drivers:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference Driver Reference
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads

3- Memory exception

Memory corruption probably caused by a driver. please run these two tests

1-Memtest.

*Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program.

*Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.

Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.

2-Driver verifier

I'd suggest that you first backup your data and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Win7 Startup Repair feature).

In Windows 7 you can make a Startup Repair disk by going to Start....All Programs...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc - with Windows Vista you'll have to use your installation disk or the "Repair your computer" option at the top of the Safe Mode menu .

Then, here's the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out. If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation (an estimate on my part).

If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.

All Asus mobo's take the same driver. I am saying you have several things to do to help us narrow down the true causes.

Okay Zigzag, thanks : ) I wasn't sure so you caught me a little off guard there. I'll try those drivers and run a mem test soon as I got the free time and report back.
