BSOD opening Microsoft office WORD 2007 or Adobe Reader 11

Hello,

We have several users that are having a blue screen when opening a word or pdf file. We are running Windows 7 32 bit all the latest windows updates are installed.

I have looked at the rdbss.sys file but no succes. Hope you guys could help / advice me

Hi Tapsee.

Do you have CenterTools DriveLock? If so, uninstall it, at least as a test.

If you dont have it, then I would say that a stray crash dump is not enough to debug an issue. Post it following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions.

So let us know the results.

Thanks for the fast reply. Yes i have Centertools Drivelock installed on the systems that are crashing. I will uninstall it on the computers that are crashing and will let you know the result.

I'm with Arc on this one, all of the dumps (all 44 of them) appear to be caused by CenterTools DriveLock.
Please do uninstall it and assess the situation.

Be sure to update in a few days time.

Thnx for looking what can be the cause of our BSOD. Tommorow i have a meeting with my manager about the BSOD. I will uninstall Centertools Drivelock on the Windows 7 pc that have the BSOD.

I think the best way to fix this is to contact the support division of drivelock.

Next week wednesday i post a new update.

Hello Arc,

You misunderstood me i have twenty windows 7 pc's. Ten of the windows 7 pc have the BSOD you said to me:


" Do you have CenterTools DriveLock? If so, uninstall it, at least as a test."

So i did this with one windows 7 pc at least as a test. After the full dump and the information i get from yoyo155 i decide to uninstall drivelock from al the ten pc's.
