Hello Guys,

I have been having a problem with my #teamred PC since I built it 2 years ago but it's reached the point where it's getting me down now.
My system is:

Desktop PC
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit sp1 (original os) OEM (I think) - recent clean install by me (again)

*2 years old*
Motherboard Asus Crosshair V Formula Z

CPU AMD FX 9370 black edition @ 4.4GHz (not overclocked)

Corsair RM Series RM 1000 '80+ Gold' 1000W Power Supply

*1 year old*
TeamGroup Vulcan RED 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit

I have done a full memtest86 (with both sticks in). It took 18 hours and showed no errors.

I play a lot of hours gaming. I used to play Evolve but got banned for 'product tampering' I didn't tamper with my game. I thought it was the games problem, keep crashing but now I play Titanfall 2 and still crash, I think that it may be my PC?

I Found that my Antec KÜHLER H2O 1250 was failing to turn one of the fans so I have replaced that with a Corsair H105 water cooler.

Also, almost every day windows shows this in the reliability monitor -

Windows Installer reconfigured the product. Product Name: Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64 Redistributable - 10.0.40219. Product Version: 10.0.40219. Product Language: 0. Manufacturer: Microsoft Corporation. Reconfiguration success or error status: 0.

Any help or advice would be most welcome...

log attached

Regards... Pete

Thanks axe0

I think that I may have found a solution...

I have turned down the 'texture' settings in the game from very high/ high to medium.
I have not had a BSOD since.

The thing is that my system is well above the minimum specs stated:

OS - Win 7/8/8.1/10 64bit.
CPU - Intel Core i3-3600t or equivalent.
RAM - 8GB.
HDD Free Space - 45GB.
GPU - NVIDIA Geforce GTX 660 2GB, AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB.
DirectX - 11.

My graphics card has two 6 pin power connectors and they are connected to the same cable. Would i be better off connecting them to two different cables instead of the one?

Anyway, If you could help me pinpoint this problem and try to eradicate it for good, I would be very happy

Regards... Pete

Diagnostic Test

 DRIVER VERIFIER

   Warning
Please make a backup of your important files and get your rescue media or create one.
Please create a restore point.

Please follow this tutorial to run driver verifier.

Driver verifier stresses your drivers and will crash your pc if any driver fails due to a violation.

Driver verifier should be performed for a max of 48 hours, or when you have a bluescreen, whatever comes first.

If driver verifier has found a violation and you can't get back into windows normally, try to boot into safe mode and reset in safe mode driver verifier, or in the troubleshooting options open command prompt and type verifier /reset.

   Note
Your system will act very sluggishly while driver verifier is enabled, this is normal as your drivers will be being subjected to heavy testing in order to make them crash.

Once again axe0, thanks for your help and support.

I did try to run driver verifier (prior to this post) although not exactly as your guide suggested. After the restart, within 1 min my PC locked up with a multicoloured screen. Nothing would move at all. I left it for around 20 mins. Nothing changed so I had to manually restart it and disable driver verifier. Not sure if it created any logs from that because it was not technically a BSOD.

Regardless, I will follow the guide and get back to you.

Thanks... Pete

Hi,
Yes use separate 6 pin power connectors coming off the psu for best results otherwise it it sharing power.
Your psu is not listed in your system spec's that you're using either.

Might be corrupted install media.
You appear to be running an MSDN product key on your system, OS installed 5/11/16.
Hope you didnt buy it on the NET, if you did you've been done as they are only available direct from MS.

Unfortunately Yes
As i said the product key is only legitimately sold by MicroSoft.
There is NO after sale market for them.
You were sold a counterfiet product.
The Discs, (sent to you with the Key presumably) were also likely to be pirated, and as i said earlier possibly corrupt, hence your problems from the beginning.

From the limited logs you sent it appears that windows updates were only partially working, now dissabled??.
Numerous failures in nov/dec caused by permssions errors, MS may have picked up that its non-genuine.

Thanks for the info Roy,

I bought the OS from a seller on Ebay a few years ago now.
It was a download link and a serial key.

I reformatted my system and did a clean install around a few months ago. Had no problem re-activating windows.
I thought the update problems were a 'windows 7' issue to be honest.

Anyway, what are my options here and is/ could that be my BSOD cause?

Regards... Pete
