BSoD while playing Battlefield3, different reasons.

Hello!

So past few months I have had several BSoD´s. They occur only when playing Battlefield 3 or doing Furmark stresstest

Reinstalled Win7 Ultimate x64
Installed new video (from GTX460 to GTX560Ti)
Memtest didnt show any errors (memtest was running whole night)
All drivers are up to date.

I attached WhoCrashed logs to this thread.

Specs:
CPU:AMD Phenom II x6 3.0GHz
MEM:Kingston HyperX PC3-12800 1600MHz 6GB (4+2)

We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

If you are overclocking STOP

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:
* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
*If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.

To ensure minidumps are enabled:
* Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
* Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
* Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
* Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
* Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
* OK your way out.
* Reboot if changes have been made.

I have a GTX 560 TI and had the same problem with BF3 only. Would either freeze or BSOD. I tried everything. I read somewhere to underclock the video card. I use the EVGA Precision tool and have it set to underclock for that game only. There is no set number as it varies with different computers. I just kept underclocking the core and shader bars until the game ran without freezing. Never had a problem ever again. Hope it works for you

It's a game to hardware issue, doesn't matter what the video card is or was. People are using different brands and cards with the same issue.

I kept moving both bars down a notch at a time until the game played without having issues. As soon as the game played perfectly, I kept core clock and shader clock at that setting. I didn't touch the memory bar at all.
