BSOD playing Borderlands 2, multiple BSOD's

Check that all parts of the computer are sited properly.
Then, measure the temp. It may be caused due to heat, too.

Highest temp for the CPU was in the 30's... everything is in fine as well... Internal case temp is 23 and has lots of fans.

Do you think through all of those BSOD's that the machine needs a good formatting?

I should also note that it will instantly lock up and scramble the screen when I tried to install the program linked from the AMI website to find updates for my bios.

Formatting the disc and reinstalling the OS may work, if it is not a hardware issue.

And, for getting BIOS updates, dont use any program, get it directly from the motherboard manufacturer's website only.

Formatted the ssd... Reinstalled windiws by usb stick... Computer required a reboot so I clicked restart now. Now I get a message saying a disk read error has occurred, press ctrl alt del to restart.

I managed to find instructions to powercycle my ssd and am doing that now.

Very frustrating.

Edit... Ran some disk check programs and the ssd comes out fine with no bad sectors.

Ok, went in and observed that the ssd had only one partition and win7 was installed on it. It was labelled as a system partition. I deleted and allowed win7 to create its own partitions and whatnot. Install is ow taking place.

I know it is just the install but the mouse doesn't hang up like before when I removed the ram.

Problem solved. Memory passes memtest 7+ passes. OS reinstalled. Computer is running flawless. I miss those 8 gb of ram... but I think what I have will suffice probably until I build my next machine later this summer.

Many thanks to you Arc for helping me through these dark times. I have a lot to learn.
