BSOD playing Dota 2, error 0x1e

Hi, I'm having BSOD repeatedly ONLY when I play Dota2 and occasional when using Ipad to remotely watching film on this laptop, but mainly when playing Dota2, which is a heavy game for graphic card. My laptop is a bit overheated while playing (~70-90'C) but then I used a desktop fan and recently cleanup all dust inside too, BSOD still occured. I've already run memtest86 for 5 hours, no error. My HDD is fine too because I just bought another HDD and still BSOD. Furthermore, sometimes I got BSOD error 0x124 or screen freezing + sound looping (cant do anything other than hard reset) too but mainly 0x1e.
I'm using Asus laptop, Intel core i5-460M, 2.53GHZ, nVIDIA GF GT 335M, 6GB of RAM (2 sticks), Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.
Pls help me, I stuck with this BSOD for about 6 months

Apply the latest version of nVidia display driver.

hal.dll is Windows Hardware Abstraction Layer. So there is a chance that some hardware components may be failing. Do the following tests.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.
Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark

Stress test the CPU.
Hardware - Stress Test With Prime95

A gameplay like DOTA2 does not depend on graphics only, but network, too. Here is some evidence of network blocking.

Update Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter driver from ATHEROS Wireless drivers for Windows

Antivirus programs often cause network blocking. Uninstall Kaspersky using Kaspersky Removal Tool as a test, Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.
Download, install and update those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one.

You have a lot of programs associated with startup. Other than the antivirus, nothing is needed there to run windows. Free up the startup. You can call them anytime from start menu all programs list.

1. Click on the Start button
2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
3. Select the “Startup” tab.
4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
5. Apply > OK
6. Accept then restart.

Uninstall the following bloatware:

Start Menu\Programs\ASUS Utility
Start Menu\Programs\ASUS Utility\ASUS Live Update 
Start Menu\Programs\ASUS Utility\ASUS Splendid Utility

EDIT: Uninstall iTunes too, as a test. cdrom.sys file is causing some problems here, and some of iTunes drivers mess up with it sometimes.

Hi, I really appreciate about how fast your reply was, I've done almost all the solution u pointed out (update nvidia, start up, realtek, uninstall Asus softwares, update internet driver) but when I "stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark", both times my lap just reach about 4-6 FPS in Xtreme burn-in mode and about 88degC, furthermore, both times my laptop just BSOD at about 8 minutes mark:

After BSOD, my GPU GT 335M couldn't be found anymore, then I needed to turn laptop off and turn on again after 10 minutes, then it backed to normal.
I attatched a new zip from SF Diagnostic Tool too.

It appears to be a failing GPU. If the computer is under warranty (probably not I guess?) ? If so, contract the vendor. Otherwise, try to replace the GPU. You may send it to ASUS to do it, or you may search for a hardware expert working nearby your place.

Hello, hungmx1992. It appears what Arc said is what's happening. 88°C is more than the GPU can take. It could ne a cooling problem or the GPU failing. You do have to realize that Laptops are not the best gaming platform. There are a lot of components inside a very small space with little way to get rid of the heat. Are you able to play less GPU stressful games without a BSOD ? If you can, you may try playing those type games on the laptop. Furmark is a very stressful program on a GPU. When your GPU gets too hot it will shut down. You may also try turning the settings lower and see if the card can take the game. It is possible that your card is failing but also possible that you are asking more of it than it was designed for, or the laptop was designed for.
