BSOD playing every game, error 0x124

Hello, i buyed new PC 3 months ago , with a no name Power Supply and Graphic Radeon HD 7350. Then i changed the Graphic Card(Radeon HD 7870) and Power supply(Silver Power ATX SP-B700 700W ) , since that i have BSODs but only while playing games, it can be 2 times at day , or like now : first time since 1 week. I already made Memtestx86, 0 Errors. OCCT shows Core #0 over maximum value after 3 mins of test, and the temp is 255C. Normal while playing games max temp of CPU is 50C, graphic card 60C. It looks i have no problems with overheating, nothing is overclocked. My Power supply now is Silver Power ATX SP-B700 700W.

Update your ATI/AMD display driver.
You can get it from the link in our forum, http://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-...alyst-video-driver-windows-7-a.html#post17671, or you may go to AMD Graphics Driver and Software and opt for Automatically Detect and Install the appropriate driver for your card.

During installation, you may opt for advanced installation, and install the display driver only, not the Catalyst Control Center.

Check the PSU. It is very important. If you have another one, try with it, and see if the situation is the same or not. As the BSODs are started after the PSU change, and a failing PSU often causes a stop 0x124.

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.

Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage, and after some time of gamiplay. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy. The temps you said during OCCT is extreme, It should literally melt the GPU :shock:

And, here comes the need for cooling. You have to afford some additional cooling.

i have drivers ver. 9.12.0.0 screen while doing nothing on PC

and during testing CPU by Prime95

I checked, the temp increased to 206C , after 50C, instantly 206. But during games the CPU dont comes to 50 C, mostly 40 C or something like that

funmark shows that card after 10 mins, comes max to 70C. While burntest

any more ideas?

Good. Really very good. I appreciate this question.

A machine check exception is a situation where the processor reports a fatal hardware error to the operating system. Here the CPU detects the hardware problem during its processing. It is not the error of the processor itself; but the processor also is a part of hardware, so it cannot be nullified that the processor itself is failing.

In fact, processor is the most stable part of the hardware. Generally it does not fail if it is not "broken". So, the chance of a failing processor is negligible. We need to search for the cause of a machine check exception elsewhere.

The three most common causes of Machine Check Exception are

• overclocking
• overheating
• overloaded power supply

If any part of the computer is hardware is overclocked, stop. Revert RAM, GPU and CPU back to the default settings.

If it is overheating, dismantle, clean the inside carefully ... specially the fan frills and the air vents. Reseat, dont forget to apply thermal paste.

But the best way of troubleshooting is, after all failed, to replace hardware parts.

so i have Silver Power SP-B700 700W, he looks like a good PSU, not on black list. The whole thing with Blue Screens begin after installing of new PSU and Graphic Card. I go with my PC to a repair shop, i msg what was the problem after all.

BSOD while playing every game, error 0x124

Hello, i buyed new PC in January. I changed there Graphic Card and PSU. Since this i have random resets during playing games. It makes me really angry cuz i bought this PC for gaming and i cant even play. PC was in 2 services but noone could diagnose what is really wrong with it. I already made some tests like : memtest,
Prime95, 2 HDD tests but it showed no errors. Sorry for my english .
