Solved BSOD playing Flight Simulator X, error 0x00000124

BSOD happened a couple of hours into a flight in Microsoft FSX.

Same BSOD error message happened trying to run a CPU stress test (recomended here).

Computer is a little over 3 years old, no parts changed since I built it.

Welcome to 7F. There is only one dump in your logs which is giving a STOP 0x124, these are virtually always hardware related and the dumps very rarely give any information as to what the problem actually is. In this case it's blaming Prime95.

Have you monitored your CPU temperature at all while idle and under load?
