Hello, I'm currently having some problems with a 1 year old build. When playing GTA V, H1Z1,Crysis 3 and Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon my screen would randomly turn black and my pc would blue screen ( I know it blue screens because on reboot it tells me that I had a blue screen error ). I've not experienced this on any other games apart from the ones listed. I can't tell you the error number because it happends during the black screen. Sorry, I hope you guys can help me out here.

Thanks in advance !

here's what i've got from BSOD index
STOP 0x00000116: VIDEO_TDR_ERROR (go to top of page)
Usual causes: Video driver, overheating, bad video card, ?BIOS, ?Power to card

the best thing to do would be to test each cause individually, first check the drivers and if needed update, if that fails, check the temps in your GPU and see if it overheats, then if nothing comes up try a different video card and see if it changes anything, if not you may need to check the BIOS for updates.

Hey ! Thanks a lot for the fast response. I've checked this before when I had the problem on GTA V It seems like I'm staying around 50 Degrees Celcius while playing H1Z1. I Have just updated my BIOS and haven't had a crash so far I'll keep you updated !

EDIT : Already checked drivers before posting this thread :D

Just tried playing again GPU went up to 66 Degrees Celcius and eventually ran into the blue screen once again.

EDIT : Removed my side panel and got to 45 Degrees Celcius while playing, didn't crash. Seems like temps are important on this error or it's just coincidence

yes, i'd say it is oveheating, make sure your fan or cololong system is working next.

66 Degrees Celcius shouldn't be classified as overheating tho :( Cards like these should be able to run fine at 90ish.

My 980Ti should be delivered here tomorrow or the day after, I'll test some games and see if I have the same issue. Hopefully it's just my build and not the 780Ti as I was going to sell it to a friend.

Thanks for helping me so far man ! Appreciate it

No problems with the new card at all I'm assuming it's something to do with the drivers of the 780Ti
