Hello everyone,

I'm in a bit of a unique situation. I'm away, in London, with work. I do a lot of software development but do not have a laptop capable of running the required software. A colleague kindly lent his fairly new PC Specialist Clevo laptop. Unfortunately he failed to mention it BSOD, a lot. It is at worst when running the applications mentioned in the thread title, however it has been known to hard lock up just browsing the internet and BSOD randomly. The applications listed give the most reliable result.

I took a look in device manager to see if I could spot the culprit. There was around 5 unknown devices. I informed him of this, he sent me a link with all the related laptop drivers in it. It has now come to my attention that the link was for a different model number than the one written on the bottom of his laptop...

I suspect he may have given me his laptop hoping it comes back fixed lol. As I now have nothing better to do in the evenings (can't do over time, can't play games) I may as well try and figure out how to fix it. Which is hopefully where you guys/girls come in (I have already spoke to him and he's happy for me to do what is required).

I have uploaded the log file as per the instructions.

Edit: Some of the BSOD errors are as follows

  • Netwbw02.sys Driver IRQ NOT LESS OR EQUAL
  • PAGE FAULT IN A NONEPAGED AREA
  • PFN LIST CORRUPT

Thank you for any assistance you might provide.

The issue seems to lie with the Intel Wireless adapter driver. Although the currently installed driver is reasonably up to date, it won't hurt to see if a newer driver is available from the manufacturer in the link below.

Thanks for the advice.

I have tried what you suggested. Unfortunately it still BSOD. This time with the error PAGE FAULT IN NONE PAGE AREA Dxgmms1.sys.

I will upload the DMP file when I get back to my room later tonight or would I be better off uploading a fresh set of log files?

Just the new .dmp file do - zip it up and upload when you are ready.

Hi Golden,

I have attached two dump files from today. The one from this morning was while I was playing MWO, which also caused a video card crash, which it managed to recover from. I've no idea what the later one is from. All I did was turn the laptop on lol.

Thanks for your help.

They are both video driver-related....but I need a more experienced eye for this one, so I'll ask Arc to stop by here and advise further.

Hi WhoopieMonster.

Can you uninstall the installed version of Intel HD graphics driver (that is 15.33.27.3910 (10.18.10.3910)) and try Version: 15.33.22.64.3621?

Let us know.
