BSOD playing Vindictus, starting at 2PM today

Have you tried with the RAM sticks in slots 3 and 4? The memtest is meant to test all RAM stick at once, then if there are errors start doing the single ones in each slot. I have 16GB, 2x8GB, which takes memtest 18 hours to do 8 passes.

This is the portion i am at now. I will let pass 4 complete and restart to move the Ram sticks into the slots you suggested.

So I found the RAM card with the issue, and it has been removed.
However, the BSOD problem still persists, and appears to have worsened.
The game takes 5-15 minutes to crash my computer, as opposed to the 4 hours previously stated.

Hmm as Britton says mate all four slots? and it seems odd to me that the problem is worse??

Well apart from there still being some bad RAM there is the question over the GPU going south I suppose.

The support for that machine is pretty ordinary and the best I can find is this http://acer.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/10836watch the video and see if you can get it to install the drivers again as I cannot access acer.com here in Oz

The driver for the GPU I am guessing you have got but if not http://www.geforce.com/drivers
other than that it might be worth taking a peek at the PSU http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/86648-psu-jump-start.html

and for refs of the values Power Supply 101: A Reference Of Specifications - Power Supplies

So i have solved the issue.
It had nothing to do with RAM, I replaced my old RAM sticks with new ones I purchased over the holidays.
I had been having problems running another program since i had purchased and rebuilt this computer, and a friend of mine wrote a program that patched my BIOS. This program was constantly running, but when turned off, my issues with blue screens in vindictus ceased.
My bad, just a software issue.
Sorry for wasting your time.

That's great to hear! Thanks for posting back to let us know what happened.

Sounds like the cure (bios patch) was worse than the disease (desire to run a program).

No apologies necessary, we're here to help.
