Hi folks,

- Age of current OS installation - ca. 4 months

Brief History
Last year my laptop had a new motherboard fitted at the end of its warranty. After this it started bluescreening on me. The manufacturer insisted it would be a software problem and to reinstall the image (that they had reinstalled just 2 weeks earlier). This didn't help.

The original OS was Vista and as a last resort after many months of trying to fix it I thought I'd give 7 a go, and upgraded to it.
After the upgrade the frequency of blue-screens fell substantially, but still continued.
I reinstalled from scratch in March - using Vista drivers as no new ones seem to be available.

The crash logs often blame the WLAN driver, of which there are two versions. I have downgraded to the older one as it seems to be more stable.

I have performed memory testing, and run the machine using each of the chips separately, and it still crashes no matter which memory chip is installed.

I don't know what to try any more, other than replace the PC, which I can't really afford to do.

I attach a hardware list, minidumps and the Windows_NT6_BSOD_jcgriff2 file as prescribed in the rules.

I hope someone can help me.

Thanks.

About half of these crashes was related to the video subsystem (driver) as was the most recent one.

I am thinking it is a combination of many things. Let start with the obvious.

Replace the video driver with most recent (yours 3 years old)using this method.

When upgrading your graphic driver you MUST remove all traces of the current driver. In order to do that we recommend using Phyxion.net - Driver Sweeper

When it is removed then download and install the fresh copy.

Also Update the old drivers below.

How To Find Drivers:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference http://www.carrona.org/dvrref.html
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: http://www.carrona.org/drvrdown.html

I've spent ages looking for Nvidia drivers, and the only one I can find remotely close is NVIDIA DRIVERS 275.33 WHQL

It says GeForce 6150 though, rather than GeForce Go 6150..... is this the right driver for me or not ?
