IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0f6397ac, memory referenced
Arg2: 0000001c, IRQL
Arg3: 00000001, bitfield :
    bit 0 : value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)
Arg4: 82c6fb50, address which referenced memory

How to solve what's the problem? BSOD happens when heavy stress, like encoding video, but I haven't installed anything new.

I suggest updating your chipset drivers and BIOS.

The lack of any information on Google for the driver a98ymif7.sys concerns me. Download a copy of Malwarebytes and run a scan.

Okay, I'll do that and run Malware check. My BIOS drivers are the latest, but I just updated mobo drivers.

Just out of curiosity, how did you find about a98ymif7.sys? My WindDbg analyze didn't tell anything about it...

I used the lmn command. Load up the dmp in your debugger and enter that in the box at the bottom.

Okay, thanks. Any other handy commands? :)

I did run Malwarebytes through and it found couple trojan downloaders. I'm now running Spybot, since it has helped me couple of times before.

Just got another BSOD a while ago and now it says that probably cause is hardware.

Hardware often means RAM or hard drive.

Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder. Boot from the CD, and run at least 5 passes.

A little update, I runned Drier Verifier and it caused BSOD on startup. So the problem has to be a bad driver, but which one...

PS. Then I manage to jam my BIOS and had to clear CMOS. Then I spend an hour struggling with re-installating NIC drivers and I was confused why it was no longer working, did I break something while clearing CMOS. Then I noticed that the date was 2089 and that's why the driver installation didn't work. :p

... And after several reboots and Driver Verifier variations I have narrowed the boot BSOD 0xC9 (or something like that) to be one of these drivers:

aswfsblk.sys
aswmonflt.sys
aswrdr.sys
aswsp.sys
aswtdi.sys

All of them are from ALWIL Software (Avast), so I'm a bit doubtful is that Driver Verifier really working? Without putting those drivers to the list, the computer will boot up nicely without BSOD all the way to windows, but if I have those drivers in the list, it won't even manage to start windows properly.

Driver check also gave me crash with rivatuner, so I removed it. Thinking about it, RivaTuner could have been the cause of crashes. But I still don't like the BSOD with Driver Verifier though...

turn off driver verifier and unninstall avast and replace with MSE for debugging purposes :geek:

Driver Verifier is reliable, yes. That doesn't always mean the dmp will point to the cause, so the best you can do is try it.

Driver Verifier is something even Microsoft Developers use to find bad drivers also other developers who creates drivers. !!

RivaTuner removal seem to be done the trick. No BSOD since yesterday and I've been encoding two videos, previously it crashed everytime after 1h, and I've playing games, no problems. :)

I left Avast there, even though there is that Driver Verifier issue, as long as there is no BSODs coming.

Thanks for guys for the help. :)
