I have the same issues that I see most are having but I cannot seem to make any of their solutions work. I know mine is not a hardware issue because I was able to boot on another HDD that my friend had and it worked fine.

So with all that being said here is my problem:

I cannot boot in safe mode
I cannot do Ctrl+Alt+Del
I cannot do Ctrl+Shift+Esc
and the list goes on

There is only one option for me and that is command prompt.

I have done the Chkdsk in command prompt and this could be a problem as well. It states that I have 2 repairs that need to be completed and I need to reboot. However, whenever I reboot nothing happens. So if someone knows something about that I would be interested in hearing from you.

These are my problems and all solutions have to be done in command prompt. If anyone has any ideas I will welcome them. If not I will just have to take it over to my friends house try to remove all the data I can off of it and this time not be an idiot and make a partition with my data on one and my system on the other.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the information and welcome. If your assumptions and test are correct I would look into the BIOS of your motherboard. You have proven your HD as well as the Win7 64bit install is good.
What model motherboard?
BIOS version?
How much RAM?
Using RAID?
Video Card info.

I'm sure others may also jump in here too.

Hi and welcome

If all you can do is to get to the cmd prompt, and boot from the win 7 dvd, your best bet is to do a repair install, failing that a clean install. It is hardware,..
