Since i upgraded my Ram, i have had this problem. it isnt very often but still in the last month or so i have 6 BSOD encounters. each time i was doing something different. The first few times i could remember the message was something to do with memory managment. so i went in the bios and set everything to automatic, since before i had it on manual because i wanted set the ram speed to 1066( altho i dont know if that made sense to do. not much of an overclocker). but anyways another error is the driver IRQL not less or equal.
i dont know what could cause this. but i read that updating my bios might solve it. since my bios has never been updated. however i cannot update the bios. the file from asus site doesnt work! then i downloaded an update utility for the bios from another site and i still have problems updating it.

any one out there with the same motherboard has this problem? have updated it in windows 7 64bit?
any help would be appreciated.
thanks,
lomas

You will probably need to go into bios and set the memory timings, speed and voltages manually.

LOL, I will say that sometimes the 1066MHz memory setting with the default 1333 FSB doesn't always use a stable divider so it's best to set the memory either linked and synced which will be 667MHz, or use 800MHz or 1000MHz "Unlinked" for memory speed. Set the memory voltage and timings manually to manufacture specs as often the Auto settings aren't correct.

ok i did try that. i set the voltage to the rated 2.2 however i could not get the rated timing of 5-5-5-15. in the bios it only allowed me to get 5-5-5-12. so i set at this and still got the problems.

That number 12 is giving you the problem. Make it higher than 15 if you can't make it 15.
