I have been getting BSOD last few days. Today I got two within the last hour and was not doing anything really. I had just got a replacement M4 SSD that fixed the BSOD issues I was having before. Was a firmware update bug they had. I haven't really had any issues since then up till the last few days. Any pointers would be very helpful.

Now, there are three different BSODs lately, in a very small time interval. One blames the Avast antivirus.
Code:
BugCheck 3B, {80000003, fffff88003b14d57, fffff88006af58e0, 0}

Probably caused by : aswStm.sys ( aswStm+7d57 )

Uninstall Avast using Avast Uninstall Utility. At least as a test. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.

Another one blames the network adapter? :confused:
Code:
BugCheck D1, {fffffffffffffff8, 2, 0, fffff88004a146dc}

*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for Rt64win7.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for Rt64win7.sys
[COLOR=Red]Probably caused by : hardware ( Rt64win7[/COLOR]+146dc )

Well, as the network driver is too old, update it. Download and install the driver from Realtek ... get the second one from the list (that is the "Win7 and Server 2008 R2 Auto Installation Program") there and install it.

The other one is clueless, apparently.

One more thing ... as there are versatile different bugchecks, there may be a memory issue. Test your RAM modules for possible errors. Run memtest86+ for at least 8 consecutive passes.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

Let us know the results and the resulting situation.
