I just started stick 2 into the second slot b1 and i noticed its saying the stick is 200mhz ddr400 which is wrong i stopped the test and set the bios to 1333 as it was before the bios reset last night. and restarted the test and it still says the same thing pic included not that a picture matters im assuming.
For now im just continuing the test as told until someone tells me otherwise.

Finished that test with no errors. Tried the other stick in the same slot and it was saying it was the same speed 200mhz 400ddr so im moving onto the 3rd slot and its reporting as 1333 ddr.

Stick one in slot 3 had errors. Slot 4 started test reporting ram as ddr400 like slot 2.

Slot 4 with stick 2 got massive errors.

Posting pictures is always good, worth a thousand words.

Good information.
Are these the voltage setting in BIOS?
VDDNB Over Voltage to 1.250v
Memory Over voltage to 1.65v

Need to confirm:
Both RAM cards are showing 200MHz 400DDR in B channel.
Both RAM cards are showing 666MHz 1333DDR in A channel.

When you ran memtest86+ with both RAM cards installed and it passed, were they in slots A1 & A2?

The possibilities are:
Motherboard, bad RAM slot(s) or channel B
CPU IMC problem causing channel B to not function correctly. Possible bent CPU pin.
Bad RAM
Bios problem

Best way to test this is to test your RAM in a different computer and test different RAM in your computer.
If you get the same results with your RAM in another computer, it's the RAM.
If you get the same results with different RAM (known to be good) in your computer, then it could be the motherboard or CPU-IMC.

Depending on the testing, you might need to check the pins on your CPU, later.

No my voltages are back on auto from reset I wasn't sure if i needed to keep those since it asked for a reset and those were the only things not on default I wasnt sure what was best to do. And yes both ram are were shown as ddr400 in either B channel when testing per card per slot aswell as show 1333 in the other slots so it seems to be those specific slots im assuming a setting if the slots are messed up.

I cant honestly say where my memory was for the last test with both in it I THINK it was a1 a2 but its been moving around with crashes and not wanting to boot i cant say with certainty.

I've add to my previous post, take a look.

Just to confirm, change the voltages in BIOS:
VDDNB Over Voltage to 1.250v
Memory Over voltage to 1.65v

Run memtest86+ again, start with card #2 in slot B2 (#4), if it shows errors you will need to test with different RAM in your system, etc.
If it passes, then continue with the RAM testing changing the cards and slots.

Ok, you can stop the test.

The possibilities are:

I won't be able to test with other ram/system until maybe the weekend. So if thats the next step in testing there wont be any updates from me until then most likely.

So is there anything specific i should try and test. Because slot 4 fails with stick 2 but not 1 and slot 3failed with stick 1 but stick 2 didnt get tested in 3. So how do i go about testing my ram/slots with other stuff if theres no consistency other then those 2 specific combinations?

The first step i assume it test 2 in 3 and see what happens but if that comes up fine then what for cross testing with other parts.

Your A channel seems to be working fine.
The B channel is reading the RAM specs from BIOS wrong and being down graded, RAM tests are failing, this indicates a number of possibilities as I posted earlier.

The RAM may be good and test bad even in the A channel due to motherboard or CPU-IMC problems.

You can test each RAM card in each slot to confirm but, if it is a motherboard or CPU-IMC problem the results may be unreliable. The cause may be intermittent, which makes these type of problems hard to troubleshoot.
The best way is to test different RAM in your system and your RAM in a different system. This will tell us the likely cause and keep you from doing countless hours of testing for no reliable results.

If this progresses to blame the motherboard/CPU, can you get a different CPU to test with?

Testing at a friends he has the exact same ram and also an asus mb my ram in his b2 and his in mine say the ram is ddr 400 so that seems to be a bios setting? His mb is asus m4a87td evo.

First tests my 2 stick in his b2 and vice versa his stick in my b2 startin chaining errors. Both of his sticks in my b2 chained errors.

I managed to snag some thermal grease so tomorrow I will swap in m old cpu and test my memory and i guess that should pinpoint something more since it seems to at least not be my memory thats the problem cpu or mb/bios it seems.

Does his RAM read correct in his B2 slot?

Your motherboard manual doesn't specify a specific slot to run a single RAM card, but most do.
This may be what's cause the reading or it may be running it at the lower frequency when in that slot.
Didn't see any BIOS options for you to adjust an individual channel, some motherboards do, your BIOS doesn't have very many options.

It's not clear, Did your RAM pass the test in his system?
His RAM tested good in his system but failed in yours, is this correct?

If this is correct, then it's either the motherboard or CPU causing the problem.
Test with your old CPU as you mentioned.

Let me know the results.

First and foremore as i type this my memtest has only started so this isnt confirmed as fixed.

But I think all of this shit was caused by me being a moron. So i was pulling off the new cpus heatsink oonly to realize I didnt have it in the locked position. as i as trying to remove the heatsink from the cpu it pulled the cpu WITH the sink(the cpus lock bar was fully down when i installed it so that wasnt loose i know that for a fact). Now i cant say when it happened maybe while being run with the sink not being fully locked down maybe when i removed it just now but i see a set of 3 slightly bent pins on the outer edge of the cpu i could only see it when looking down the rows of pins and saw some slightly out of place.

Anyways im running the bad card/slot combo with old cpu then im going to see about fixing my pins with a credit card assuming it isnt just trashed from my sloppiness.

So i ran the b2 stick 2 test with old cpu and it went through fine. So i did my best to straight the 3 pins in the new cpu they still seem a little of center but much better then what they were and am running the test with those in place it seems to have gotten past the part where the string of fails starts off so here's hoping.

Yes, the CPU not being locked down can cause problems.

Of coarse, if a pin is broken when straightening the CPU is not usable.
You might want to consider taking it to a shop or experienced friend to straighten the pins.

Bent CPU pins can be difficult to straighten. If you bend them in two directions they are more likely to break, slowly bend the pin back into place, try not to bend the pin too far.

For reference:

How to Fix Bent Pins on a CPU

Fixing a Bent / Broken Pins on a CPU (NCIX Tech Tips #36)

Let me know bent pin fixed CPU tests are going.

If they pass with memtest86+, then run OCCT CPU test.

OCCT stability checking tool Run the CPU:OCCT test for at least 1 hour, be sure to monitor your CPU and GPU temps.
Set the time before you start.
When its done, pass or fail, it will make some graphs. Post these here as they are useful for analyses.

You should have let it idle for a couple minutes at the start and 5 minutes at the end, this gives a baseline idle info that is useful, next time.

Your CPU core temps are high.
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition
Max Core Temps (62°+5°) 67°C.

Most AMD CPUs will run this test at 45°C to 50°C max.
Check your thermal paste, too much is as bad as too little, same for the cooler too tight is as bad as too loose.
Best Thermal Paste Application Methods

The rest of the tests look good.
Your voltages aren't very steady, they should all be nearly flat line. Keep the PSU in mind for any future issues.

Have you tested the RAM with your fixed CPU?
