Hello,

this is my second post with BSOD on another computer, this time it is a laptop.

BSODs are repeating and no specific cause was spotted.

0x000000f4 seems to be driver related (or malware ?) but could not identify which one of these two, and if drivers, drivers of what ?

Can the logs from dump file and other fiels help with that ? They are attached as requested.

Thanks for all the help and tips how to resolve the issue.

Hello Aero once again.

Could you please run this:

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

And also this:

Diagnostics Test

 HDD TEST

arrow.png
Run SeaTools to check the integrity of your HDD. SeaTools for DOS and Windows - How to Use - Windows 7 Help Forums
Run following tests
  1. Short Drive Self Test
  2. Short generic
  3. Long generic
If the short generic fails, no need for the long generic.

   Note
Do not run SeaTools on an SSD as the results will be invalid.

Cheers, Boris :)

Hey there,

as the laptop is not mine and I'm doing this "second handedly" just passing instructions it took a while but we got results.

System file check ended just well 100% without problems like this:
http://www.sevenforums.com/attachments/tutorials/2328d1231529438-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker-finished.jpg

Problem was with SeaTools, the HDD was not on the list at all.
There is just one HDD as it is a laptop. But no idea why the system does not see it.
But I consider it a clue to our BSOD problem.

I did not istruct the girl to search in the BIOS if the HDD is there, should I do that or you have some other tricks up your sleeve that would help us here ? :)

Thanks :)

Hi AeroSvk.

Could you run Speccy on the laptop, it's an app that collects hardware details about the computer!
Click the start download button:
https://www.piriform.com/speccy/download/standard

You can also run this in cmd as an admin to do the check disk task:

chkdsk /r (<- there is a space between chkdsk and /r)

Cheers, Boris :)

Sorry for the hold up, but the other part who has the laptop at home was busy with work out of home.

We ran Check Disks, to no avail, 0 bad sectors.
Note, the CMD did not want to do CHKDSK right away, bcs it said that disk is used by some other application.
We did it after reboot, adding screens

Also adding screens from Speccy, general rig screen + aimed at HDD, all lines went through as GOOD.

Currently I'm confused, becuase ithought that the problem is within the HDD which I thought will be undetectable for the system, yet some programs see it while some (SeaTools) don't ... but in the end it gives good results a probably puts us back on start.

Any ideas here ? :P

Thanks :)
