Solved BSOD randomly at start up. Restarted twice to get it to work.

My PC is largely 3 years old now, with some parts being newer. The other day, it just randomly BSODed on me. I restarted with the same effect, then restarted again and was fine. Please let me know if some of my hardware is about to fail. I've been looking at doing an upgrade, but I may need to do that sooner than later. Thanks!

Hi BalaamsDonkey.

First of all, Scan the system for possible virus infection with the following programs.

Let us know the results.

Then, irrespective of the scan result, make it sure that your SSD is running with the latest firmware.
And, disable hibernate, and free up a few more GBs in the C drive.
Code:
Drive    C:
Size    119.14 GB (127,928,365,056 bytes)
[COLOR=Red]Free Space    10.66 G[/COLOR]B (11,449,565,184 bytes)
Report us for any further BSOD after doing those.

I did the quick scan, and all looked good. I'll do the more detailed one later, but I have my doubts about it being a virus. The firmware update and hibernate disabling have left me with 39GB free on my SSD. I've been running with it around 10GB for a while now, and I was looking at getting a larger SSD or another one of the same size to compensate, but I think I can make this work for a while longer.

Thanks for the help!
