Solved BSOD randomly multiple times a day, unsure cause

Hi all, I know this is very ambiguous, but one of my Windows 7 computers at work, a Dell Optiplex 390, has repeatedly experienced BSOD crashes over the past year. This occurs when it is being used for web browsing, and when it is left on and not being actively used.

Examining the system log after crashes does not reveal anything. The BSOD shows up and goes away so quickly it's difficult to read....hence the dmp files are attached.

It would be greatly appreciated if someone can take a look at the dmp files and decipher what's going on. I've asked assistant tech support to look at the computer--originally it was thought there was some sort of network permissions issue (sometimes that would show up in the system logs), but of late that does not seem to be the case. However they have not been willing to look at the dmp files at present.

Which is from April of 2009, That is prior to Windows 7 release,

There are a couple of newer ones here at Dell depending on which video card you have,

It's one of the two AMD drivers, try updating that.

These are 5 month old dumps and no other info being provided that's the best I can offer right now.

Thanks for the graphics driver suggestion. I quarantined this computer and we have not used it in recent months, so the dmp files are less recent. I will try updating the drivers.

Question: the Device Manager shows the display adapter as a "Radeon X300/X550/X1050 Series."

I opened up the tower, googled the graphics card numbering, plus ran a graphics card id utility, and it appears to be a Radeon X300.

But the 2 drivers that can be downloaded on the Dell site are for:

AMD Radeon HD6350

and

AMD Radeon HD6450

I don't think these work.

Maybe the "AMD Catalyst™ Display Driver" will work?

EDIT: Looks like it's a scanning and updating utility. It's updating my driver now.

Like I said, I only had Dell Optiplex 390 to go on and there were only dump files and no other specs to go on so that was my best guess.

If it updates your drivers it's worth a shot.

Thanks, yes the drivers have been updated. I think we will be using the computer and see whether the issue recurs. Thanks.

Great suggestion, I'll do that next time. I went through various steps on the before you post BSOD page.

Yeah, there's other logs in that tool that tell a lot more info which gives us a better idea on what to suggest.
