Hello and welcome zapper now I see that you do not have Service Pack 1 installed - your build being 7600 and it should read 7601??

Code:

Product: WinNt, suite: TerminalServer SingleUserTS
Built by: 7600.16385.amd64fre.win7_rtm.090713-1255

The dumps contain some references to the processor can you run this and let us know what the temps are

Ok mate now the SP1 ia quite a download and I see the installation was done in 2015 and the 7600 build was superceded by 7601 well before then because unless I am terribly wrong the SP1 took care of bugs etc when 7 first came out.

See this Learn how to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1)

Edit: I meant to add just where did you get the Windows copy from? if you got it from soemwhere like EBay then I would be very suspect of it's authenticity.

I just installed SP1, but unfortunately the computer is still crashing. Seems do do it now when ever i have a game running for over 30min. Weird thing is, when it crashes, my computer screen turns black and my mouse and key board turn off, but the computer stays on and doesn't reboot itself.

Also, A friend of mine gave me this copy of windows and said it was genuine, so believed him.

After SP1 is installed there are a few 100 hotfixes you need to install too, they fix several other bugs and improve your system.
Have you installed those updates already?

Yep well it might just well be genuine but it depends on what sort of a copy it is - if it is a retail copy and as long as it hasn't been installed/activated for more than say three installs then it should be ok. If it is an OEM copy then the code is tied to the original machine's motherboard and you cannot activate it on any other machine. So can you verify what sort of media it is retail or OEM?

Just out of interest where did you find the activation code??

All i did was go to Microsofts website and install the SP1 pack from there, so if the hotfixes were included in the download, then yes.

He bought the copy of windows from walmart, installed it on his machine, and then I installed it on mine. So it is a retail copy that came with the activation code.

I have a feeling this is hardware related since it is now only crashing when running games. How to i determine what piece of hardware it is?

You should check Windows Update for updates, I doubt that that install package contains more than SP1.

First make sure your installation is up to date, it may take some tries to get it completely up to date.

I agree for a part with ICIT2LOL about Windows 10, I wouldn't call it crap updates and I also wouldn't say that you should try everything to get rid of it. I would say that you should make sure your Windows Update settings do not install important updates automatically and change the treatment about the recommended updates so recommended updates are treated as optional updates, that should prevent Windows 10 from being installed because I advice to not install it until the problem is solved.

Now it should say on the sticker what that copy is ie if OEM is on that sticker then when your friend installed it on his machine it was tied to his machine's motherboard and cannot be used on your machine (or any different motherboard). Plus if the copy is retail then your friend and yourself cannot run that activation on both machines at once - it is limited to one machine at a time and then only for a set number of installs.
The family pack can be used on up to thre machines at any one time see this http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/153626-product-key-number-windows-7-find-see.html it will give you details and soem idea of what the sticker shows you.
