Hi,
I have got a serious problem that I cannot figure out, I am not a pro but not green as well. First configuration:

MB: Asus M4A79T Deluxe
CPU: Phenom X6 2800
RAM: 4X2Gbyte OCZ DDR3 Value Ram
VGA: Radeon 5870 1 Gbyte
HDD: Intel X25M ver. 2 160 Gbyte
HDD2: Western Digital 2Tbyte
Peripherals: USB 3.0 card and Microsoft webcam lifecam cinema

Fresh installation of OS (7 64bit Ultimate, legit copy). Bsod are randoms, all of them invoke ntoskrnl.exe (MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, APC_INDEX_MISMATCH, BAD_POOL_HEADER, SPECIAL_POOL_DETECTED_MEMORY_CORRUPTION, PFN_LIST_CORRUPT), sometimes computers instead freeze with audio loop and other times computer become unstable, not answering applications until crash.
Those crashes are not related to any specific activity.

What I did till now. Memtest86 negative, Furtest for GPU negative, Prime95 negative, orthos gave an error about one result that had to be below 0,4 but it was 0,5 (sorry no log for this), Intel stress test negative.

Last night i ran prime95 and everything was ok, in meanwhile I was browsing, watching a movie, then it ended, i opened cpu-z, task manager to check cpu % usage, skype and i started a video call, while i adjust volume computer freeze.
Other times computer is left alone with utorrent and when i come back i find it crashed.

I used verifier.exe but i didn't got any relevant crash while it was in use.

I updated driver, checked with antivirus.
Any suggestion on how to find who is guilt of all this mess (apart me)?

Hello,
It seems outdated and improper drivers that cause the problem.
Start with updating your Asus driver (AsIO.sys and ASACPI.sys).

Uninstall Alcohol/Daemon software and remove its driver (sptd.sys) with this tools --> DuplexSecure - Downloads
Because sptd.sys have some issue with Windows 7 and for alternative software you may use MagicISO.

Update these drivers:
Code:
ASACPI.sys   Sun Mar 27 18:30:36 [COLOR=Red]2005[/COLOR] --> [URL="http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx"]Asus ATK0110 ACPI Utility[/URL]
AsIO.sys     Mon Dec 17 01:11:49 [COLOR=Red]2007[/COLOR] --> [URL="http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx"]Asus PCProbe Utility[/URL]

sptd.sys     Sun Oct 11 13:54:02 2009 --> [COLOR=Red]Remove[/COLOR] with [URL="http://www.duplexsecure.com/en/downloads"]SPTDinst[/URL]
Then we'll see if the problem persist.

APC_INDEX_MISMATCH (1)
This is a kernel internal error. The most common reason to see this
bugcheck is when a filesystem or a driver has a mismatched number of
calls to disable and re-enable APCs. The key data item is the
Thread->KernelApcDisable field. A negative value indicates that a driver
has disabled APC calls without re-enabling them. A positive value indicates
that the reverse is true. This check is made on exit from a system call.
Arguments:
Arg1: 000000007752fdca, address of system function (system call)
Arg2: 0000000000000000, Thread->ApcStateIndex << 8 | Previous ApcStateIndex
Arg3: 000000000000ffff, Thread->KernelApcDisable
Arg4: fffff88007b91ca0, Previous KernelApcDisable

Hi Wish,
thanks for the solution. I will update straight the drivers. About DT, I heard about those compatibility issues but since BSOD happens even without this program installed, I installed it anyway.

I will change with MagicIso as You said, anything to fix the problem. I just said that those BSODs are present without DT installed.

By now I updated the asus files and I am updating realtek ones.

So after those changes I didn't get yet any BSOD but two times my pc freezed, both times during a skype call.
It is possible that Windows dumped some info about it?

BTW in meanwhile I switched from 4X2Gbyte to 2X4Gbyte, but it was useless (one freeze was before change and another after).

Look at folder C:\Windows\Minidump\ --> if there is any new .dmp file then you must attach here to see the progress.

Then test your RAM with memtest86 for at least 7 passes(better overnight).Test each stick with different slots.
The possibilities could be:
- Bad stick RAM
- Mismatch pair of RAM
- Bad slot motherboard
- 3rd driver that load in memory

So, no new report in minidump folder. System freezed couple of times today too.
I changed already ram modules, is possible that I got only faulty RAM?
Sure there is option that I have some bad slot motherboard...

I am considering to change MB with a totally different one.

Of course I will start to test ram with memtest, I did it already with all benches on, I'll do as you described, one by one and then when i finished all I will try every memory slot.

I checked all dimm I have in different slots. Memtest report a lot of errors in many configurations, actually only one bank of ram on 6 it looks like stable and it sounds quite weird to me.
Pc stop to freeze but once I couldn't awake it from standby and I couldn't make it run again, fan were starting as cd and hard disk but I couldn't get any "beep", I tried leave only one bank of ram and nothing, I took off all banks and nothing still and this sounds weird to me too (it shouldn't give some error for missing ram?). After some pull and put components (VGA, Disks, USB3 on pci-e) it started.
After some time it brutally shut down and I coudln't turn it on again. Now it is stable since couple of days.

Facts:

- Is not a software issue, no more bsod since I updated those drivers.
- Is not PSU, is brand new, good quality, and at least I could read good voltages over everest (or this new version of it).
- It is not overheating, CPU in idle is 35, MB 45 and GPU 55 C° of course.
- I am quite unlucky if about RAM, on 6 dimm i have 5 are not working good, statistically is quite unbelievable.

I can only give guilt to CPU or motherboard, I have a spare sempron and I am waiting for a bulky AM3 MB to test it crossed and check results on memtest.

Statistical or not, memtest is not known for false errors ... if it is reporting errors, then you need to replace the RAM/motherboard, but that's up to you ... Good luck.. ;)

Sure I will, but it may be some problem in CPU (memory controller) or MB as well, isn't it?

My configuration changed a bit

AMD Phenom II X6

RAM Actually I have 4X2Gbyte OCZ DDR3 PC3 10666 and 2X4Gbyte OCZ DDR3 PC3 10666 tested with ramtest and windows ram check program

2nd Hard disk Seagate 2 Terabyte
Video Radeon HD 5870 1Gbyte
PSU don't remember which but a good enermax
