Solved BSOD Right after I start my computer normally, error 0x000000f4

Kind of new to forums and computers, so excuse my mistakes and ignorance.

I was playing League of Legends one day, then it just got a BOSD out of now where. As said in the title, it was error 0x000000f4. I restarted the computer in safe mode, and tried to run a system restore. It then blue screens DURING the restore. After attempting different things I have seen online, I've gotten errors from BAD_POOL_ERROR to IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I'm at a dead end of what to do.

Since I'm not great with computers, there is most likely information missing from this post, so if you need to know anything more, just ask.

Please upload your msinfo32.nfo file. To get this:

(1) Click on the Start rb:
(2) Type msinfo32 into the Search programs and files box
(3) When it opens, go to File, Save
(4) Save as msinfo32.nfo and save in a place you will remember
(5) Let it finish the process of gathering and saving the system info
(6) Right click the .nfo file, click send to compressed (zipped) folder
(7) Upload the .zip file here​

You need to update to the latest drivers for "Change Monitor Filter Driver" but I would suggest uninstalling it if you don't use it, it has a reputation on creating BSODs.

Are you having McAfee installed? Please uninstall it. It's known to cause BSODs!

Recommended antivirus program for Windows 7 based on stability compared to others:-

Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.

Run the System File Checker that scans the of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible:

Run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it:

I looked through my drivers and could not find the "Change Monitor Filter Driver." Could you point me in the direction on how/where to update it. I have no idea if I use it though.

I also tried to install MSE, but it said I couldn't install it in safe mode. Should I uninstall McAfee before I try to install MSE?

Yes you should uninstall McAfee before trying to install MSE. But why in safe mode? Can't you do that in normal mode?

No, everytime I run it in normal mode it blue screens shortly after I log into my user and it loads everything.

OK, since you're in safe mode now follow these steps:

Click Start rb:
Type in msconfig in the Search bar
Go to the Start up tab and disable Mcafee from there​

Now try booting in normal mode and see if you're getting a BSOD

Will do once I get to my computer. What about that driver that you told me to update / uninstall? Where is it located, and how can I tell if I use it?

Back to McAfee. I've had it on that computer for about a year, and have encountered no problems until recently. Are you sure McAfee is the source of the problem?

Geez, I'm not reluctant to uninstall it, just was wondering how likely it was the true source of the problem.

I have been using computers since I was 6, but have had no understanding of them up until 3-4 months ago.

Went into normal mode, and since it didn't blue screen instantly uninstalled McAfee. It seemed to work, because I was able to play a game of League. Then I installed MSE, and did a full scan.

I left it on overnight, and when I came back in the morning, it was in hibernate.

As soon as I brought it out, it BSOD'd. The error was 0x0000001e.

These are the ones I got today.

Interesting thing though, when I started up my computer Windows tried to do some kind of system repair on its own.

It said that a file named c:\windows\system32\kdcom.dll was corrupt. It failed to fix it though.

Think it could be a virus? I've talked with someone else who claimed to know computers, and he said there is no other way around this other than to wipe my hard drive. Is this true, or can I fix it?

I didn't download anything, but out of suspicion I deleted one of the torrents on my computer.

Everything seems to be working fine now.
