Hi all,

Thanks for taking the time to look at my BSOD problems.

I'm unable to figure this out (thought it would be easy to diagnose with BlueScreenView but nope it just points at ntoskrnl which is like... yeah totally useful). My key suspects are:
1. my graphics card (a ASUS Radeon HD 6850, its only ~1 year old and I don't OC it)
2. the slot for the graphics card on my mobo

(but maybe its neither, who knows, hopefully you can help me out!)

The reason is because some of the crashes (actually quite a number) have not been captured, i.e. what really happens is that random squares / bars will appear on my screen and the computer strangles itself until I reboot it. Sometimes the reboot will fail and it will get stuck at the "Starting Windows" screen without the spinning windows logo thingy happening (but the words are visible). Or worse still, it might just get stuck at my mobo loading screen.

I'll usually try to fix it by opening up my case and pushing the gfx card properly. Recently I even tried to add a few cable ties to prop up the card just in case its a loose connection with the mobo, but it still crashed.

It has been happening quite often recently - enough that I'm getting annoyed by it. Also, would want to RMA it as soon as possible if its really true that the gfx card is dying on me.

Thanks for your help!

Hello Everlastingz, Welcome to SF

First off if your OCing in anyway stop, return everything to stock settings for the purposes of testing

If you havent already, fill in your system specs so we know what we are dealing with
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/180324-system-info-see-your-system-specs.html

Make sure you have read the guide on asking for help with BSOD so you know what we need
http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/96879-blue-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html
And if necessary set your machine to create minidumps (Method 2 Step 2 is easiest IMO)
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/174459-dump-files-configure-windows-create-bsod.html

Run some scans to check against virus or infection
http://support.kaspersky.com/5350
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/166445-windows-defender-offline.html

Run some basic hardware tests
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html (windows based check)
Hard Drive Diagnostic Procedure (bootable disk check)

The dump files you uploaded vary massively in date so not sure which apply to ther current problem most are from 2010 there are only two from 2012 which is the ones i have ran
