Microsoft finally worked out a Hotfix for power management flaw wich creates a memory leak that accumulates until full then crashes the system.

I knew it couldn't be all those computers that where faulty.

Here is the link to the fix: Help and Support

Since I installed it yesterday, no BSODs.

They said this fix will be included in the upcoming SP1 but for those who will not wait another day. They made it available as a Hotfix.

Hope this still works tomorrow.

Backup & restore systems also fixed

It seems that the hotfix also repaired the non functionning backup & restore feature of w7.

After I installed the Hotfix, I said to myself I better make sure this works so I tried to do a full system backup while I was watching a movie and guess what!

It worked.
