Hi,

I've been getting occasional BSODs since the start of this year - the last few times I noted was while downloading using utorrent. I am able to restart Windows normally after the BSOD.

I've attached the zipped output file after running the BSOD Dump & System File Collection app. I tried to run the System Health Report using perfmon / report but it timed out a couple of times and then when I tried again it tells me that the parameter is incorrect - so unfortunately I'm not able to attach this file.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit.
The laptop is relatively new ASUS K43S bought in Nov 2011.
The processor is Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40GHz with 8GB RAM.

Any help you can provide about the BSOD and what I should do to fix the problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Iris

Thanks for helping me figure out the issue and the advice. My Avast software was set to scan files from utorrent. So that may be the problem. I'm trying by turning off this setting first to see if it makes a difference. If that fails, I'll uninstall Avast as you suggested.

Many thanks for your assistance.
