Hi there,

Yup, another noob with a BSOD posting.

Suddden and constant BSOD this week.
I havent changed, upgraded, updated, modified, deleted or otherwise stuck my fingers into anything this week.

I HAVE generally tinkered with and upgraded my computer (packard bell iMedia x2416), but the last thing I did was to upgrade the RAM 5 weeks ago from 4GB (2x2gb) to 6gb (2gb + 4gb), DDR2.
I've run windows memory diagnostic AND memtest (over night) - no errors.
I've run anti-virus scans and malware scans - nothing flagged.

Tinkered components, apart from the RAM, in order of change:

Graphics card upgraded to Nvidia GTS 450 - no problem with that for over a year.
PSU from manufacturers to Winpower silent 600W - changed same time as graphics card - no problems at all.
Windows Vista 32bit to Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit (3 months old)
Um... i changed the speakers yesterday...

The drawer on my DVD drive was stuck and wouldnt open, so I have disconnected the power and sata cable inside the case.

All drivers are up-to-date, so I have no idea whats happening.

The 'windows has recovered from a stupid error' message window says:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
Locale ID: 2057

Additional information about the problem:

BCP4: FFFFF800036017F7
OS Version: 6_1_7601
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 256_1

I've uploaded the dmp file and other info as per the BSOD posting rules.

All help muchly appreciated!

P.

Hi there,
thanks so much for the fast reply.

The driver update part of device manager says it's up to date already, do you know where i would find a newer one?
