Hello Douglas now it seems from a bit of searching that this is probably a driver issue as the dump here

Code:
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for [COLOR="Red"]ntoskrnl.exe[/COLOR]
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for [COLOR="red"]ntoskrnl.exe[/COLOR]

is a very common one and could be just about anything.

Now I think it might be worth while running these first just to rule out soemthing simple.
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
Disk Check < if necessary include the /f and /r in the command line as per Option2 (if you are going to use the /r switch there is no need for the /f switch)
Run these in safe mode and the sfc often best run for two to three runs – you can leave out the /r switch in ckdsk if you feel it not necessary

If these come up with nothing then perhaps it might be worth running a memtest see my pre written ditty

Now to make absolutely we are on the same page the memtest linked here is the*only*one we recommend and it MUST be run for at least 8 passes or you may as well not bother. It is rather lengthy and best left for a downtime for that machine - overnight is good. Having said that you can stop the test if errors show up while you are around and then it is a matter of tracking down the bad stick of RAM.* RAM - Test with Memtest86+
This is not aimed at you I did it to save retyping it over and over:)

Now the noise you mentioned can you pin that down to any particular spot in the machine?? and just what did it sound like and a likely cause might be the hard drive which very often will make quite loud whirring / grating or clicking noises.
