BSOD System Service Exception 0x00000024

Okay so i've just recently reinstalled win7 x64 ultimate on a new sata hdd. Updated windows, installed some minor software, shut it down for the night, got up today and on boot i get system service exception 0x00000024 bsod. I tried starting normally, same problem, safe mode, same problem, last know good config, same problem so at this point i let startup repair run and managed to get back into windows I've included the minidump files and any help as to the cause of this would be greatly appreciated.

Also there was an irql not less or equal bsod the day before, these are the only two bsods ive got on this comp since install.

You have two major problems



1-ASACPI.SYS (2005) A huge cause of BSOD's.

ASACPI.sys Sun Mar 27 22:30:36 2005

The 2005 version of this driver is a known BSOD cause.
Please visit this link: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support- download_item_mkt
Scroll down to the Utilities category, then scroll down to the "ATK0110 driver for WindowsXP/Vista/Windows 7 32&64-bit " (it's about the 8th item down).
Download and install it.
Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers to check and make sure that the ASACPI.sys file is date stamped from 2009 or 2010 (NOT 2005).

2-Avast. you should remove and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials and win 7 firewall.

Thanks for the reply. I noticed the asus link you provided is for a mobo different than my own, will that be a problem or should i just go ahead and replace the file from that link anyways?

from googling i also noticed this is a remover for avg anti virus, im using avast so should i just go to control panel and remover avast?

Anyone? Afraid to turn my computer off in case the same thing happens and i cant recover from it.
