BSOD that only seems to happen when I have an on-screen display on

I just put this computer together less than a week ago. I have updated the bios, drivers, and I have done a windows update. I can't say with 100% certainty that it has only BSOD'd with an on-screen display(FPS counter and temp monitor), but I am almost positive. It has frequently frozen/locked up, forcing a restart,(with no BSOD) when I've opened hwinfo64 and MSI afterburner.
