Hi, I just got a BSOD after getting my unit back from Acer Technical team, where they said "found no problems, ran system check and REM but can't find any BSOD".
This morning, I got it back from them, I did the following:
- Reset and recover the system again to factory setting.
- Install Buffalo Express Card Driver (then connect it), then connect my Buffalo HDriver.
- Connect a 4-hub Usb connector, then connect my mouse + Keyboard to it (after that Windows automatically find and update the drivers for these device).
- Do a windows update, it stucks at 4% then BAM!, here it comes BSOD again.

Before returning it to Acer, I frequently get BSOD whenever I play movie (which I suspect might be caused by overheating). Yet, this time system heat is only about 45 Celcius degree.

Following is my system spec:
Is Windows 7 . . .
- or x64 ?
- the original installed OS on the system.
- an OEM
- 2 years old
- What is the age of OS installation: 1 hour.

Windows 7 Premium:
Manufacture: Acer
Model: Aspire 5942
Rating: 5.3
Processor: Intel Core i3 CPU M 330 @2.13Ghz
Installed memory: 4.00 GB
System Type: 64 bit

Any help is greatly apprecited. As now it's completely beyond my ability

Software Concerns:
You have a number of unnecessary programs running on your system. I would recommend that you http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...ation-conflicts-performing-clean-startup.html and leave only Microsoft Security Client enabled as a startup item (you do not have it installed yet, but you will understand after reading my analysis).

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219576-clean-up-factory-bloatware.html may also be a good tutorial to go through.

Analysis:
Crash was caused by your McAfee Host Intrusion Detection Link Driver.
  1. Remove McAfee with the steps outlined in How to uninstall or reinstall supported McAfee products using the McAfee Consumer Products Removal tool (MCPR.exe) ...
  2. Replace McAfee with either of these:
