Self built computer, recently started over and reinstalled win 7, but this has been going on for months. No matter whether i sleep or restart, i get a "system did not shut down properly" startup prompt, then in windows a similar error where it says i had a BSOD. Here is the log. Event viewer says it is a power kernel event. Let me know if there is anything else I can provide. Very annoying!!!

I did all the above and installed earlier driver, and it is still happening. It appears to only happen when the computer sleeps now. When it goes to sleep, the keyboard turns lights go off and i cannot get it to come out of sleep, so i assume maybe it is turning off the keyboard and mouse so it cannot come out of sleep? My only recourse is to hit the power button which i guess is resetting the computer when it is in sleep mode? Would that cause the error/alert?

It's your nVidia driver again. Fill in your system specs by following the top link in my signature. Is there any reason you have a desktop set to sleep?
