Got back from my trip and then attempted to run the SeaTools for DOS as was recommended.

However, SeaTools could not find my disk. I did ensure that the BIOS was switched from AHCI to ATA mode. Upon switching over the BIOS back to AHCI mode, I was unable to start the computer and the computer was stuck on the first Dell screen (the motherboard screen, I believe). I reseated the hard drive and tried a few more times before Windows would boot.

Any suggestions?

I have solved the problem - simply the hard drive went bad. I found another hard drive and imaged my current hard drive and then restored it to this other hard drive. Windows booted right up and I have none of the problems with sleep as I did before.

Thanks to everyone for their assistance in helping to solve this issue.
