BSOD using Firefox and sometimes on Chrome

Hi,

I am getting BSOD on my Asus U56E. This is a refurbished laptop i received and BSOD has been happening since day 1. It often happens when I use Mozilla Firefox and sometimes with Chrome. First the mouse pointer freezes up and thereafter BSOD comes up.

I had called up Asus customer support and they helped me update BIOS and keyboard driver but it still keeps happening.

System is Windows Home Premium 64 bit.

Thanks, the tech support of Asus was of little help. They are trying to say that i am running some software which is causing the problem, however the very fact that the BIOS was not updated makes me suspect that some driver is not updated. If I don't find the solution here, i would use the warranty to get it resolved.

What version of win 7 (stater,home,pro,etc) do you have and what language are you using?

If that is the only file sfc cant repair (and you arent using Chinese) that file is probablt not critical.

I suspect something deeper.

Have you read the link for BCC101 in the previous post?

have you done everything it suggests?
