Hey there,

I understand i am new, been a while since i have been getting random BSOD mainly when watching some streaming (youtube) plus or only Utorrent. My USB audio device has an ability to turn on dolby surround sound i noticed 90% of the time i had that thing turned on i would get BSOD also. After cleaning and updating drivers with driver scanner, and some i even updated from MEDION (10013421) and still got the BSOD, so hoping you guys could help me out. Adding my zip.

A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint. Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress. You can read more on this error and what to try here... Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try: Stop 124 - What it means and what to try

Its not the only BSOD i am getting, even tho i looked into hardware, couldnt find any easy detectable problem. I got a Machine Check Exception BSOD, remade a new dump to see if we can find any diff info. If the problem still the same i will try to look further into the hardware, because so far no lucky :(

Genuine Intel could be the problem? so the processor?

Not impossible, but not necessarily. A stop 0x124 BSOD with the first parameter as 0 means a machine check exception has occurred, and it is reported by the CPU. It is not necessarily a CPU failure.

Your computer is MEDIONPC IPMTB-GS, more than 4 years old, apparently.
Code:
BiosVersion = 8.00
[COLOR=Red]BiosReleaseDate = 11/04/2009[/COLOR]
It is an old branded PC. SO we need to check for the PSU at first.
Check if the Power Supply Unit (PSU) supplying adequate power to the computer or not.
eXtreme Power Supply Calculator
Also let us know about the wattage of the PSU.

Next thing that is to know is the system heat. Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy. Alternatively, you can publish a Speccy snapshot too: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/311593-speccy-publish-snapshot-your-system-specs.html .

Then, some hardware tests are also required, like:

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.
If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.
Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark

Stress test the CPU.
Hardware - Stress Test With Prime95

+, if possible, plan to update the BIOS.

Let us know the results.

Yes the PC is about 4 years old, only thing recently added 12 gb ram and ssd 64 gb like 1 year ago and no BSOD before. Took me a big while to mount these tests, lets hope it helps solve whats wrong.

General Idea of CPU:

About the power, i wasnt sure about all specifics but i tried to reach the most alike PC:

voltage.png

My source power is older than the computer itself if im not wrong its 650W, even tho the computer is connected to a no break if no break faill it gets no power

Specifics

Direct Energy is connected to No Break:

Speccy

Tested Ram for about 14 hours and only had 3 passes with 0 errors, should i let it run eitherway until it hits 8 passes or more?
Other thing is that they detect only 4 slots of 6 even tho they read all 18 GB of ram? is that normal?

Stress Test Video Card:

Detected GPUs:
- GPU 1: AMD Radeon HD 6770, GPU: 50°c

Tested for about 5-8 mins:
Started fastly by title log from 60c TO 87C-88c, and while moving i saw blinks of silk effect lines in a part(artifacts), kinda got stable there and almost no artifacts, then taking about 2 mins it went slowy to 88C-89C mark and kept at that for a while stable it seemed but a little slow, then i stopped seemed too high temperature
FPS was 9-12.

Aside from that sometimes when i get BSOD, after restart, i notice that when its about to show Explorer icons and Chrome downloaded icons, for example, it takes a sec to load, like remain as a blank page until become the real icon(like torrents, rar) files icons. That lag i am not sure if related to video card or HD after i double restart its like recovers its normal speed. Other times i get a mega slow load of windows or just freezes while loading after the BSOD. From time to time i hear some sound like hardware restarting(while computer on, does not affect windows) could be the HD?

Additional info:

monitor.png

That black line between browser and start bar usually wasnt there, and every time i restart on black screen i see those dots before booting windows

About Bios Update:

I have looked over and over, and including in the manufacturer and American Megatrends and cant find a downloadable update other than
BiosAgentPlus which they ask for Money to update drivers and Bios for 1 year.

Run memtest for 8 passes, before blaming the motherboard itself.

I am not seeing anything else that can be blamed :( Please understand that we cannot test the motherboard without replacing it, and so we cannot blame it in a remote assistance.

I can suggest you that you can see the situation with a replacement motherboard.

yeah will take a look on that, considering everything else seems to be working so far. Thank you very much for the assistance, will mark as solved for now, even thought i havent changed or tested motherboard yet.

Replaced Motherboard with x58 sapphire, noticed 0 BSOD for a few days now, and feels like a new PC.
