Hi everyone,

I have been having an issue and it is probably the video card issue. When I start a game or a video everything is ok for a while. But after some time video driver crashes (random polygons in 3d games go black and then back to life, flash video freezes) and then I get that my display driver has crashed and recovered or BSOD. I have recently reinstalled my system (it's OEM) but it didn't do any help. I'm running x86. The problem continues. I am really looking forward to your help!

Hello Lightevilaster and welcome to Sevenforums.

BSOD Analyse

Graphic Driver

You were right about blaming the Graphics Card. The driver is blamed. To make a clean reinstallation of the driver, I'd recommend you to run the below tutorial. If you have any questions, ask away.

i) Make your way to Nvidia Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers and download the latest driver for your card, save it to your desktop for instance.
ii) Uninstall the Graphic driver you currently have and all its extensions (do not reboot yet)
iii) Download Driver Sweeper
iv) Get to safe mode (without network) and search for Driver Sweeper in your :orb:
v) Select all the Nvidia components and analyse them
vi) Clean them, head into Windows without internet and install the driver you downloaded previously.

  • Stop any type of overclocking.
  • Blow the Graphic Card fans.
  • Make sure that no hidden overclocking feature is on.
  • Download Speccy and make sure that temperatures are stable.
  • Make sure that the games you're playing has the latest updates and look for Q&A's, fixes and compatibilities.

Best Regards,
Frederik.
