Hi
recently, I have faced many bsod and I am not sure what is the cause. I used the debugging tool and found that errors seem to be from nwifi and tcpip but i am not sure how to fix it.
it seems to be the networking problem from what i've read

this is on a OEM x64 home premium. been about 1 year, have not reinstalled os

sorry if i did not include any vital information. i will try to reply while hoping the computer doesnt bsod.

thanks
btw my network adaptor is
Realtek RTL8191SE 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adaptor
and others but i think this is the one causing problems?

attached is the perfmon files and nt6 files and also minidump separately if required

Memory corruption probably caused by a driver. please run these two tests

1-Memtest.

*Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program.

*Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.

Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.

2-Driver verifier

I'd suggest that you first backup your data and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Win7 Startup Repair feature).

In Windows 7 you can make a Startup Repair disk by going to Start....All Programs...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc - with Windows Vista you'll have to use your installation disk or the "Repair your computer" option at the top of the Safe Mode menu .

Then, here's the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out. If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation (an estimate on my part).

If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.

Tobytan,
do you perhaps have a samsung printer connected? if yes, you might want to check on a more recent driver.

Same applies to a Sonic CD/DVD unit.

Sounds good.

the sonic driver has been used my many companies. A suggestion would be to go to the website of the mfg of your cd/dvd unit and fetch the latest driver.

If you need info about what is actually installed on your computer, there are numerous possibilities but links for two of them are in my sig, namely, Speccy and SIW.

The sonic driver could be a left-over from previous hardware are software such as Roxio.

been good so far. no bsod. use speccy and says
Name hp CDDVDW TS-L633N for my dvd drive (status says its fine)(this file found inside the drivers PxHlpa64.sys)

tried to find updates but dont think any have been released yet(or ever)
could it be other disc burning programs causing the problem?
cyberlink dvd suite/power dvd 8?
cyberlink labelprint?
lightscribe system software
slysoft virtual clonedrive (since this creates more 'clones' of my original drive which has the outdated driver, could this be the problem?)

sorry for asking so many qns. thanks again.

tobytan,

There is no golden wand we can wave, but you can help by running Verifier as requested.

After that then we will have a better idea of how to proceed.

ran the verifier:
1st time trying to boot gave me a bsod because of smartdefragdriver.sys (or sth along that lines). uninstalled it after system restoring.
2nd time trying to boot after running verifier again gave me bsod because of avgiddriver(or sth along that line). uninstalled my old avg. reinstalling the new avg 2011 free edition
will keep you guys updated if any more bsod occurs, along with minidumps later. thanks.
