BSOD was weekly, now daily, ntoskrnl.exe+748c0

I have had a persistent problem with BSODs for several months with this laptop. Reloaded system from the factory Windows system files on drive Q about 3 months ago. Really didn't help. Problem is getting more frequent, was maybe once a week, now getting closer to daily. Been doing battery pull before rebooting. Attempting to run a system repair is unsuccessful.

Upload your MSINFO32.nfo file.

1. Click on the start button
2. Type "msinfo32" (without quotes) in the search bar of the start menu, click the resulting link. It will open the System Information window.
3. File>Save. In the "File Name" filed, put "MSINFO32" (without Quote), give the save location to desktop, and click the "save" button.
4. Give the time for processing, it will save a .nfo file on your desktop.
5. Zip it, and upload it following the instruction.

It is very urgent to check this file in this issue.


Also uninstall Google Chrome for the time being till the issue becomes better; because Chrome contributes to 0x124 BSODs, and there is a chance for the same in your case too.

Thanks! Attached MSINFO32.zip. Uninstalled Google Chrome. Got another BSOD ntoskrnl.exe+748c0 doing a restart after uninstalling Chrome.

I would suggest you to keep away from Google Chrome at this time. Because we have seen the stop 0x124 is caused by solely Google Chrome in a number of cases. And there is a fair chance (not absolute possibility though) that Chrome is causing it for you too.

Completely uninstall Google Chrome for the time being. Use any other browser that you may like. Firefox, Opera, IE, anything. See how it goes.

If the issue continues even with the other browsers in the same way, we will definitely need to go for deeper troubleshooting.

Deinstalled Google Chrome with Revo Uninstaller Free, using advanced mode. Then manually trashed the remaining Google folder in Program Files (x86). We will see what happens. Thanks
